Crow and Gate in Wealden

We used the Crow and Gate as a checkpoint for a school walk. They looked after the staff incredibly well with fantastic food and brilliant service. They were also so accommodating allowing students to use the toilets and they also brought out water for them to have. The manager even refroze our ice packs in his own freezer! Great location, brilliant staff and a thoroughly enjoyable place to go.

The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and cosy.There was a lot of options on the menu and the staff were enthusiastic with our choices.Overall the food was lovely, would recommend adding more tartare sauce to the fish sandwich as it was a little dry and the scallops needed more or a sear as they had no colour.The duo of pate’s were outstanding!We did have to wait around for 30 minutes before our drinks were taken which seemed odd as it wasn’t busy.Would come back for sure

My sister & I had a really lovely meal. We were served by Steph who was excellent nothing was too much. Food & drink also excellent. The servings were very generous.

Food very good. Staff helpful. Very unhappy that for the last 3 visits to 2 different inns,which were The Lamb and T he crow and gate they were unable to activate the points you collect in the wallet. Each time we were told they would look into it and ring regarding getting points added. Nothing has happened, no phone call even. Thinking of taking app off , and not returning.

Nice place, staff are friendly. My only point to improve on was the flower on my pizza under the pizza.

We came here a couple of weeks ago for a last minute Sunday Lunch and oh my god it was the best roast we have ever had!! Really good price for what you get! I think it was £15 for a trio of meats, which had pork belly, beef and turkey. Beef was absolutely perfect, and I even loved the pork belly which I usually am not a fan of. The roast came with a lemon stuffing ball wrapped in bacon which I’ve never seen before and it was unreal. Absolutely amazing staff and service too! Great atmosphere, can’t wait to come back for another roast🤪

Lovely pub/restaurant. We received great service and the food was well presented and tasted great. Would have been a five star but I don't think dogs should be allowed in the restaurant area, one customer even aloud their dog to sit up at a table.

The staff were so lovely. A very nice young lady took our orders. The whole place seem relaxed & calm. The food was very good. Huge portions too. And it stayed hot all the way through the meal. It wasn't expensive either. I highly recommend the Crow & Gate, for friendliness, good service, & most importantly. Good food. Another plus. Is real ales. It's a definate family friendly place. Just came for a family lunch. Absolutely gorgeous pub, lots of lovely beams and real character. We were served by Steph, who was very friendly and very helpful. Great choice of food and a really good choice for vegetarians. Highly recommended.
