Fantastic Italian deli with huge selection of meats and cheeses. A fabulous selection of Italian and English wines including some amazing English Fizz! Well worth a visit

My husband (medically vulnerable to Covid) went for his first coffee out since the pandemic with a friend last Thursday and started feeling ill on Monday (he was only home in between). A test confirmed he was positive, and he learnt that both the owner and northern assistant both had Covid and were serving customers!! Utterly Irresponsible. Clearly they have put their turnover above the safety of their customers. My husband is now critically ill. Don’t go there if you value your health.

Asked for a flat white coffee. Was so strong, it was horrible. Threw it away. Waste of £2.80.

Lovely shop. Great food, cheese etc, plus fine wines and a lovely coffee. Served by charming gentleman.

I travelled down from London yesterday to visit family in health field so I had a walk about the high street. I walked into the deli when this rude lady behind the counter called out have you got a mask I told her I was exempt she then asked aggressively where’s your paper I did not know what she meant so I explained I have a badge not apiece of paper. The other lady there said it was ok and we could shop. The lady I was with is from the local council to the area and she could not believe the rudeness So I said I will not spend my money here and as we walked to the door she was shaking her head and kind of ushered us out. Absolutely disgusting there is no paper that you can get from your Gp saying your exempt. I will not post why I cannot wear a mask but I am unable to. She needs to go on a customer service course. I will be posting this everywhere

Had a lovely cappuccino with a friend, sat outside, would be good if they had seats inside. I would suggest go and have a drink it’s worth it

So this was my first visit.The food was unbelievable, I enjoyed every mouthful.I had a beef plate of some description and my wife had one of the vegan plates.The wine they recommend was not brilliant, but it went well with the food.The cakes all looked great and I hope to try one next time I visit.Can't believe this place is where it is.

Amazing Deli in the heart of Heathfield, East Sussex! I can’t help to go there everyday, even just for an Americano coffee with a nice almond croissant, and a panino for my lunch! The selection of fine wines is superb and the owner James is helping me to know them! His wife makes the most amazing Brie with truffle and I can’t stop eating it. You will not find such an amazing customer service and attention to details in this place. You will get the right touch of Italia all over there. The selection of hams and cheeses is vast! The choices are incredible and I can go in and on!! Highly recommend this place as I take my best clients there!! Have to try it!

The interior looks great, but it's such a shame that we didn't get to try the food. We turned up at 8pm we waited for twenty minutes and no one came over to say hello would you like a table, completely ignored us. They were really busy but the manager just kept staring at us as if to say go away I do not want to deal with you. But to just ignore customers without as so much as a sorry we are really busy tonight, he left us standing at the door which is quite uncomfortable as everyone in the deli can see you and you feel awful. It has put me off this place. Instead of it being a quirky and independent deli I now see this place for what it is, a pretentious cafe where if you are in with the manager you can enjoy what's on offer. All in all don't waste your time travelling to heathfield for this rubbish treatment. Go to the Middlehouse pub in Mayfield, lovely pub, nice food, service at the bar but they talk to you and don't ignore you.

An excellent deli providing a wonderful choice of cheeses, both local and continental, wines and many other delicious things to temp you. James and Cinzia will give you a warm welcome. Coffee is great too! The shop is a real plus for Heathfield High Street.
