George Hotel in Wealden

Good food good prices, but typical Wetherspoons had to ask to have the table cleaned.One of the things that irritated me now is there is more interest in what is ordered via the app than people who are waiting at the bar.

Always clean and tidy, attentive staff.Good menu and food, reasonably priced beers. Their Sunday breakfast is a treat.

Used to think was really good family establishment till wetherspoons in HAILSHAM sent out food not fit for humans probably wouldn't have given it to my dogs plus manager was not helpful he pass the the problem on to someone else and didnt refund and there was no chance we would have tried any think else we had a 2 year old with us that also wouldn't eat it and try to eat everything put in front so one star is still to meany

Quick service, plenty of tables. Forgot my hashbrown on the muffin. Kids crying day ruined.

For cheap and cheerful not bad. Staff pleasant, food was warm and plenty of it.Place is in need of a clean. Not enough staff bless them.

Always a friendly welcome and great food at this place. Lots of visiting ales to try if that's your thing.Tim Martin - you are not what makes Wetherspoons, it is your staff. The staff at The George are the best. 💙

Went with friends. Booked way in advance. When we arrived felt we were nit expected. Ordered starters and mains food was amazing but very slow to come out, which was ok as not in a rush. Went to order dessert to be told all the kitchen staff had gone out for their xmas meal and there was no way anyone could serve us. Had we known this at the start we would have ordered dessert with the other food. Barman was rude and on his phone while telling us we could not have dessert and again when we paid the bill. Wont go back.

Good atmosphere, nice polite staff and good value but the food really is bad. The pasta Alfredo tasted like a pasta n sauce and the "sundried tomatoes" that came with it tasted of nothing at all. To add insult to injury, you get a really small portion of it.I know i shouldn't expect much from weatherspoons pub grub but I've definitely had better in the past.

Good value food but it needs a good tidy up. Decoration getting very tired and carpets are very dirty especially on the exit from the kitchen where it can only be described as disgusting. This needs attention. Staff are great and work very hard.

Visited Friday 03rd December 2021.The Manager, James Goldsmith, had responded to my friend very swiftly with a letter, which prompted this visit. The staff were very welcoming and attentive and it just got better. The food was served hot, promptly and with a smile. The photos speak volumes 😊. Thank you to all, we'll be back, as Arnie says.Very good food for reasonable prices. A good, cheap night out to suit all budgets. I really like their curries. Advise to book as it gets busy. Friendly staff and excellent food and very quick service. Excellent attention with Covid rules, make you feel safe. I have had to edit a review I did 11 months ago as I am unable to post an updated one, which is a shame. Last visited Friday 23rd October 2020.
