Hare and Hounds in Wealden

What a little gem! Had lunch here today. Very friendly and welcoming staff and the portion size is unbelievable! Will definitely return.

As pubs should be - great food, good drinks, nice area outside to sit in, fireplace inside. It is only a small pub but we like it.

Family meal for 8 plus dog on Sunday. Great place to meet up with warm friendly staff, great atmosphere in lovely surroundings and great outside spaces. Good menu and fresh food, cooked with care and well presented. Nothing too much trouble.Clean plates all round! Highly reccomend Hare & Hounds, you won't be disappointed, we never are.

We had a lovely family meal today (Sunday 26 th June) Food was great, served in good time and the girls were very attentive, they helped with finding bits that the grandchildren would eat and seemed genuinely happy to help. Our dog was welcome to stay under the table with no fuss.

A beautiful meal, well cooked and large portions. The service was fantastic and the food arrived very quickly. What a beautiful pub.

More than disappointed, a group of motorcyclists took a ride out in memory of a fallen friend and decided to pop into this pub for a drink and something small to eat, however, we were told there was not enough staff to cater for food, I explained we would be happy with just sandwiches or chips, however this was still not achievable. As if it couldn’t get any worse, we were then told we couldn’t even order drinks as there was only one bar staff??? The right answer would have been: “unfortunately we are short staffed, so you’ll have to bear with us”I’ve never been to a Pub where business is not welcome: AVOID…..

Excellent food with generous portion sizes for decent prices. Friendly staff too - would defo recommend!

Nice pub, but when I went to the facilities I noticed there was an old racist advert poster on the mirror hanging above the toilet.When I asked about it a staff member, quite rudely replied that it's the manager who decides what goes on the wall.I called up when I managed was in, when I asked him about it he said he was busy and I need to go in to talk about it and he hung up. So clearly this isn't a very welcoming pub for POC. 1 star for the racism, would have given more because the pub itself is nice to have lunch.
