Hathi Indian Restaurant in Wealden

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant many times over years. The food is amazing, always first class. The guys who serve are friendly and knowledgeable and always recognise us when we arrive. 5 Star service every time. Highly recommended.

Ordered Naans to Takeaway, cheese was nice, but the mince one was dry inside and didn't fill the whole naan

An unexpectedly fine Indian restaurant in unlikely village surroundings. Really tasty meal.

Ordered the Tandoori mixed grill. The food was obviously cooked hours ago and was as tough as old boots and not very hot. Service was good but the food let it down.

6 of us eating. I ordered a Chicken Jal Jul, which is supposed to be Hot and sweet. Not hot at all, and when I questioned the waiter about it, he brought me a bowl and said try this sauce as the chef made it hot. Yeah it was hot, as in microwaved for 5 mins hot, so burnt my mouth. Bottom line is, the chef did not put enough spice into the meal at all. When we left , we all agreed we will not return their. Also when ordering 2 more cobra beers, the waiter picked up my dirty glass and poured my beer into it, same as the other person having another beer. Not good service and food was way below par for an Indian restaurant.

Decent enough food, but service is just way too fast, constant pressure to order food and being rushed out the door. Not good.

Excellent food and service will definitely return had the lamb pathos lovely and tender the chicken tikka bhuna was also lovely

Great venue.. We arrived and got grated at the door. Staff really friendly and professional. We had the buffet which offers starter plate and the selection of dishes. Their is nice little bar area for a drink. @silver_chaz
