A hidden DIAMOND! 5 STAR! What a fantastic restaurant - we went as a party of 16 for Sunday lunch and they could not have been more accomodating. The dining room has been exquisitly restored, reminding me of a decadent, old Scottish castle (without the draughts)....such a friendly atmosphere in a historic surrounding. Staff were incredibly attentive, discrete and service was impeccable (it reminded me of Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester!). The food was delicious, on hot plates and very finely presented (I had the Sunday roast pork: which had a crisp sliver of Crackling lain invitingly across my plate - yum!!) perfect portion sizes and we were even given extra Roast Potatoes - HUZZAH!! The House white was a very light Pinot Grigio, very quaffable. The deserts were homemade, light and again, beautifully presented. Given the quality of food, staff attentiveness (it felt like we had a private room) and the incredible ambience we were astonished by how reasonably priced the entire meal was.WE WILL BE BACK!(March 2022)

Marta and her team catered for our celebration of mum's life after her funeral. Everyone enjoyed the food and the service was very friendly. Recommended.

Staff and food excellent, we were a party of 20 and we all appreciated the efforts put in. The dining room and lounge are worth a visit on their own

It’s a beautiful place and has much potential, but really, it’s not geared up to be a place for getting coffee/lunch. There’s no one to welcome you, so it feels as though you’re trespassing. There is no menu, and the choice is weak filter coffee or stewed tea - very like the old hospital type set up with a stainless steel trolley etc. Absolutely no sign of the promised cakes/savoury bites seen on the menu page! I think I’ll give it a while and then definitely book before going again.

I celebrated my 40th Wedding Anniversary with friends and family just before Christmas, and was really pleased with the catering/service & atmosphere. A lovely building in picturesque surroundings.

It's very different from a normal restaurant. Lovely building and food was good.
