We only moved here 7 weeks ago .This is the 2nd time we have ordered from John's fish and chop shop .We absolutely can not fault it The fish is so tasty and cooked to perfection . chips are lovely .BY far the best fish & chips we had 10/10

Best chippy in Hailsham with great staff and amazing food.Really wish you would consider taking telephone orders for your elderly customers who aren't Internet savvy and have sight impairments.

The best fish and chips in the Hailsham /Eastbourne area. We always get the Cod special, which is very good value.

Brilliant. Considering the Brits are known for their fish and chips, a lot of places don't get it right but John's certainly do! Beautifully cooked chips and a deliciously crispy, flavoursome batter. The cod special is just the right size and a steal at £4.75. It's great I don't have to travel outside of my town to find a decent fish bar 👌

They were recommended to us.We had it delivered, still piping hot, chips lovely and fluffy. I had pie, other half had fish which he really enjoyed.Will use again and I too will recommend.

I don't know what has happened to this place, it used to do amazing fish and chips and other food. After having chicken and chips from there yesterday evening I have been up half the night being very very sick. The same thing happened to my husband a few months ago after eating a battered sausage from there. We gave it another go but after yesterday's experience we will not be back I'm afraid. They must have some serious hygiene standards issues which I'm inclined to report. The food was also very greasy and tasteless. You may do well to avoid.

First time ordering from here and I got the large cod and chips with mushy peas and it was lovely! Also nice big portions! Would 100% recommended and order from here again!
