Lakeside cafe Horam in Wealden

Very tasty food, but WOW is it expensive ! .The woman who I think is the wife of the owner, is THE rudest and most patronising person I have ever met. We visited twice whilst staying on the campsite and on both occasions she was terrible !! She clearly had her favourite customers and made this abundantly clear too ! My tip is for her to have a career change and go do a job where she does not need to communicate with anyone !

Quantity of food and variety is the only thing letting this charming cafe down a little. Otherwise superb.

Lovely setting but lacking food quality, would expect local meat etc as its based on a farm.Coffee is from a vending machine.Weirdly there is a heated ounter next to the bar warning joints of meat and potatoes and a very starey guy standing behind it constantly looking at us while we ate our breakfast.Has so much potential to be an awesome place.

Lakeside Horam is a very pleasant cafe / restaurant serving food and drink. There are both indoor and outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the surroundings. It is next to the fishing lakes plenty with of parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing little cafe/pub to visit for a while! Dog friendly and has a little kid's playarea. Great to grab a bite or have breakfast/lunch/dinner at. Staff are very kind and patience. It has a fishing pond near it and very good to have a break at.

Very rustic. My "special" a chicken and bacon salad whilst being a generous portion the chicken chunks were battered and the bacon was cut into pieces similar in shape to a fat match stick. Unfortunate they were both very over cooked. However my friends choice...prawn and smoked salmon salad (another special) looked very nice. Service was very good, quick and friendly and prices were sensible.

A lovely, friendly cafe with great, simple food and a bar. A hidden gem in Horam! While eating, you can over- look the pretty fishing lake. Enchanting on Friday and Saturday evenings when they open until 9pm and turn on all the coloured lights.

Great selection of freshly cooked homemade food. There's a bar as well if you fancy something a little stronger than tea or coffee. Overlooks the fishing lake.Reasonably price. Lovely service from the staff....well worth a visit

We had a late breakfast sandwich here. The food was excellent with a generous filling, plenty of sausages in mine and bacon in my husband's. Slight drawback was the lack of space between the tables. We were in motorcycle kit. I would go back though. They are also dog-friendly.
