Great country pub, lovely staff and delicious food with generous portions and great menu

Probably alright for a drink . lovely setting seemed very busy ! Didn't like the food particularly the roast beef ! Asked for medium to well done for all of us and two came rare . Looked like a bundle of bacon on the plate .asked for it to be changed but still couldn't cut it £15 for a roast phew !! Never again !!!

Very nice, Old looking pub. Good food served especially for a Sunday lunch. Good quick service, very attentive, good selection of beer with a small garden. Have eaten here many times and would go back.

Had a nice lunch in the Sunshine after a walk in Abbots Wood. Food was prompt ,plentiful and tasty. The staff were kind enough to bring my dog a water bowl . A pleasant experience for 3 adults and 1 dog.

What a beautiful pub this is, friendly staff, great service and fantastic food. Looking forward to sitting out in the garden in the warmer weather. Highly recommend

Excellent friendly service, last minute table on a Sunday was no problem. Food was delicious and the batter on the fish was the best I've ever had. Very cozy with the two log fires.

Food really good. Had a real beefburger..homemade,bun toasted which isn't always the case in some restaurants. Chips...mmmm, best I've ever tasted. Although there was a fire it was cold!

A really lovely and cosy pub to visit after a walk around the reservoir or the woods. We had the beef burger which was exactly what you want after a long walk. Pooch friendly too!

Lovely setting,smashing kind staff,nothing too much trouble running after us,meal was well cooked plenty of it! Waiting staff cleaning ace felt covid safe too.thankyou 🙏👌👍
