Roebuck in Wealden

Excellent food. Customer service is above and beyond expectations. Very clean and cosy room's. Would recommend an overnight stay and dinner. The easiest ten out of ten I've given.

Fantastic service and food, feel relaxed and looked after when In the roebuck. Nice outside space and a park for the kids. We had the steak and this was perfect well done chef. Highly recommended 10/10 service!

Great! Room was lovely, bed very comfy. Laughton village is so pretty! Had a really tasty continental breakfast in the pub. Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Would definately recommend. So much better than the usual "Inn's"

Four of us went for dinner last night and the food was amazing I had beer battered cod, two had burgers and one had 14 hour pork belly. All of our dishes were delicious and large portions. But without doubt the 14 hour pork belly was the star of the show.

Nice setting but the food was cold, on cold plates. Staff were absent and the puddings inedible. Staff were nice but avoided eye contact when walking past so made it difficult to ask for more drinks or change food. Maybe they were having a bad day.

Very good New Year lunch in a lovely country pub. Traditional menu, including a tasty chilli con carne to warm me up on a cold and wet January day. Welcomed a slightly wet and muddy dog too! Great service and staff.

What a fabulous Christmas Day dinner at the Roebuck.The food was plentiful and outstanding.It was so nice to have the one sitting so the table was ours between 12 and 5.Was refreshing not to have each course served so quickly but to have a decent break in between. We had time to play family games and let each delicious course settle before the next.Hats off to an outstanding team of staff and chefs working on Christmas Day. Thank you xxx

Fantastic Family Christmas Day!Thank you to the whole team at The Roebuck for a wonderful Christmas Day. Very well done.A warm welcome, crackling fire, luxurious festive feel and beautiful food that very much required the loosening of the belt afterwards. No rush to finish as only one sitting that day, so we could enjoy each course at leisure and drink / play games / chat in-between. 10/10

The new management have made this pub a lot less quirky and fun than in its last incarnation. The beers were good and the food good quality. However the menu was very standard pub fare and when we went, no daily specials. It has the feel of a typical chain pub, which is disappointing as it isn't part of a big chain. OK for a start but this place needs to get more exciting if they want to get people to come out to a pub which is only accessible by car unless you live in the same village.

Very nice place with awesome staff!Had a family birthday here with a large group of us! We had a few requests and the staff dealt with it brilliantly and like nothing was too much of an issue!Great food, nice atmosphere and loads of parking in site!Will definitely be making a return here
