The Cottage Restaurant in Wealden

A late booking but they made us very welcome. The service was excellent, the food delicious and staff were friendly but not intrusive. Definitely worth a visit.

We really enjoy going to this restaurant as food and service always great. However, one of our meals had an extra ingredient in the salad, being a slugwhich was stll alive 😭Waitress really apologectic and replaced meal but having eaten half of it you do not always want another complete meal. Bill arrived and charged full amount. When we questioned this, as we thought meal not fit for purpose, manager very unsympathetic and reluctantly didn't charge us for one pudding.! He seemed to think he had compensated enough by replacing meal , but none of us ate our salad! Evening ruined by nanager's attitude.

Wonderful food and service from friendly, polite and caring staff, amazing atmosphere too. Definitely worth a visit, you won't be disappointed.

The food is amazing! Hot, fresh and tastes delicious. Would highly recommend 👌 although may needs a packet of mints after for a few hours 😁

Absolutely gorgeous and well worth the price! The food is delicious and very well sized portions, maybe too well sized we didn't have any room for desert. If we're ever back in Eastbourne we know where we're eating!

Delicious food and friendly service. We particularly enjoyed the seafood pasta like lobster ravioli and the shrimp tagliatelle. Sticky toffee pudding was a little too sweet for our taste, but gorgeous food otherwise!
