The Foresters Arms Fairwarp in Wealden

Such a welcoming place - the cosy interior, beautifully looked after garden and friendly, attentive staff made our stay there enjoyable. The food was also great - a tasty duck salad with some garnish and chicken wings, although the sauce was a bit too rich for our taste, with abundance of fresh chillies. Their freshly prepared sandwich baguettes were awesome though.

Our lunch at The Foresters Arms was truly a 5 star experience. We were greeted warmly as we entered the comfortable and well decorated interior and quickly offered drinks and had our order taken. I was able to sample an ale before ordering which was a nice touch. There was music playing at a reasonable volume which added to the ambience, and our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. We’ve tried a few pubs and restaurants in the area, and we would confidently say that The Foresters Arms is the number one recommendation to anyone looking to eat or drink around here.

Excellent roast pork Sunday lunch today!Since the new chef's have joined, new lick of paint, new flooring, seating.....you get my drift. .. .its come a LONG way! Food is always on par with other 'destination pubs' but better value per portion size. In all, worth a stop off either for a drink or food. Cheers, Dave & Adam & Team x

Had lunch here today meeting up with friends who live in Uckfield. Although very busy the service was excellent and food delivered in very good time. All food was very tasty and the portions were substantial. We will certainly visit again in the near future.

Visited the Forester Arms on a fully booked Saturday night just after their reopening following their kitchen refresh and everything was absolutely perfect.Despite being very busy, every member of staff was friendly and attentive. We weren’t rushed at all but also not left waiting around at all. Orders taken quickly, drinks arrived promptly and perfect gap between food.The food itself was just as perfect and plentiful as always.I went for the avocado and sweet potato starter, a combination I hadn’t thought of before but pairs together deliciously. Then had the monk fish tails for main and it was the best monk fish I’ve ever had. Cooked so perfectly, it melted in the mouth but still had plenty of flavour.Husband went for a refreshing chicken salad and again, chicken cooked so well, flavour but moist.This really is the perfect place for a nice dinner, family friendly and there always seems to be locals (and their dogs) who all know one another but you’re not left feeling like an outsider for not being a ‘regular’ - hard balance to strike and this place manages it perfectly.

The beer is fresh, the food is tasty, the staff are warm and welcoming. Furthermore the space is tasteful and unpretentious and in a great location. .An easy going village pub that comfortably accommodated my lunchtime booking for a large group of walkers.
