The food and service was perfect. We were a party of 6 with some dietary requirements and our hostess suggested some nice alternatives to the dishes on the menu for those with dairy free requirements. The smoked haddock was delicious. No children's menu but the starters worked as a good alternative.

Can't comment on the pub itself as didn't even get inside.A sign saying "No muddy boots, pushchairs, dogs or children under seven" 'welcomed' us at the front door. Not sure how anyone can get away with such restrictions and make a living in a Country Pub when they've ruled out half the local clientelle before they even walk through the front door. Disgusting!

Stayed last minute on a work trip - really great place to stay over, food incredible and the lady working in the evening and the morning was a really wonderful host. Definitely will stay again if down that way.

No muddy boots no dogs no children and if you smoke you are treated like a pariah. Furniture in rooms very cheap, terrible evening meal and a rather sour hostess.

We had a fantastic meal night at the Greyhound. The food was of a very high standard. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. We were staying at Hever Castle and it is a short drive. Well worth the extra drive compared to the nearest pub.

Wonderful pub, superb food and lovely staff/landlady. One of the best. That's all that need be said.

Looked lovely and our first visit, after previous attempts, were thwarted, went well. The Greyhound is now a hotel/B&B in premises that were formerly a pub. The bar keeper told us they now focus on the accommodation side of things and that is borne out by the, slightly, unwelcoming sign on the front door discouraging families with young children, dog owners and walkers. There, I've put the only black mark into play. Now, to the good things. Although our visit there was unplanned we were welcomed despite it being close to bar closing time. Do check weekday hours as this is our second visit and on both occasions we turned up close to 15:00 when either the bar shuts or the kitchen shuts or both. The menu looked good as it wasn't simply what I describe as standard gastropods fare. The dining room and, in fact, the entire pub was very smart which might be why the aren't overkeen on muddy boots and rowdy children.Service was friendly, attentive and informed so a proper visit is in order from us. Another plus point is that just as they were about to close 2 cyclists turned up and were very courteously told that the kitchen was closed and the bar was closing/closed but the bar person was helpful in suggesting alternatives so that is a great thing on their favour.Next time we'll turn up in good time to eat and take a look at rooms and other facilities.

Stayed here for 1 night. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and a generous portion too. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners. We could not fault anything.

I visited this beautiful restaurant for my 50th last week. The food was delicious, Steve and his partner are such wonderful host's and welcoming. If I'm luck to go back down there I will definitely be visiting again.

Ate Sunday lunch there yesterday with two ‘adult “ members of my family and we were all very happy with everything. The pub itself was spotlessly clean and very up to date in decor. The welcome we were given by all the staff we met was very warm and as for the actual meal itself - superb! We all chose one of the roast options and couldn’t fault anything. I’ll definitely be going again and recommending it to all my friends.Well worth the drive out from Tunbridge Wells.
