Thank you for a memorable lunch. Superb food, amazing service and delicious food. 5 stars and highly recommended. You should be very proud of your staff. Lovely bunch.

Awesome little country pub. Ancient low ceiling. Not the spit & sawdust place we remember from 25yrs ago - now you have to book a table or go hungry.

Its a nice enough country pub, we came one evening, were the only people at the bar and the girl was more interested in going home than serving us, rude. We also had a meal here, price doesn't reflect the quality, it was as good as any decent pub, but our side of chips was brought to our table when we were half way through our main. The general experience was average so 3 stars is appropriate.

Very cosy pub. We had lunch following a walk in Ashdown Forest. Fishcakes were a bit potato heavy and lacked oomph which is why only 4 stars. Red mullet was lovely and service was great.

Went today for the first time to The Hatch. Cant believe how good the whole experience was from the amazing service and friendly staff to the fabulous food, the quaint 'Country Pub' interior and fab Christmas decorations and amazingly even the very friendly owner Nick moving his car so we could park!! Thanks to Nick and all the Nickie's, first class and we will be back (frequently!)

Great atmosphere, attentive service. Excellent food. A little tricky parking but don't let this spoil your visit. You'll want to go back again.

Loved this place. Went for a Sunday roast and was really impressed. Really busy but found us a lovely table. Great atmosphere and really attentive staff. Beautiful setting and good food. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area. We travelled form London to the Forrest and this pit stop kept us going.

A very enjoyable experience with good service and wines; inventive delicious starters and superb desserts. My only disappointment was that the roast beef was almost half fat but the roast potatoes, other vegetables and yorkshire pudding were tasty.
