Really lovely place. Very friendly staff and lovely food. Highly recommend the salmon and dill fishcakes, they're delicious, as is the Eton Mess sundae, beware tho its huge 😂

Loved it! Our server was really friendly and very helpful, and the food was delicious. A member of staff will serve you from the salad cart and I couldn't fault him or the food on offer. Then I had from the grill, the beef brisket with beef dripping gravy, mash, onion nest and beans - and it was outstanding. I absolutely loved it, the meat was cooked to perfection and was so tasty. Finally, the warm chocolate brownie with soft ice cream was heaven. I would highly recommend 🙂

We attended for Easter breakfast 3 people were very happy with pancakes. Unfortunately the two of us that opted for the classic English were left disappointed with boiled mushrooms and the driest scrambled eggs I've ever experienced. How do they get away with that. When this was mentioned to the waiting staff the response was "oh well" we left very disappointedI attended the restaurant unannounced again today 6/5/22 ordered the exact same meal and received a very pleasant breakfast. The young lady waiting tables was delightful.Thank you we shall return

Lots of space to drink and dine. Great service by friendly staff. Good sized portions and we managed to find a spot that avoided screaming children.

Family dinner with 14 people. The staff are lovely, as always. Nothing too much trouble (cheese in a kids burger that he didn't ask for). Everything showed up correctly and together, no easy task!! Much better food quality than other Harvester's, clearly there are competent and engaged chefs behind the grill. Been a few times in recent weeks, consistently great. Thanks a lot.

Highly recommend one of the best Harvesters I’ve been to, very polite and attentive staff. Always lovely food have never left feeling disappointed. Great chefs and always a great atmosphere. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

I haven't visited a Harvester in a number of years, after visiting the Harvester at the Sovereign Harbour and the food being, honestly, inedible! But it used to be one of my favourite places to eat so we decided to give the Horse and Groom a try - and the food was great! Most staff were very friendly and welcoming - seated quickly, nice atmosphere, food was great! Sadly one member of staff at The Horse and Groom let them down - she was extremely rude to my partner and my son - we were not told that you have to wait to be served at the salad bar (it was our first visit since Covid struck so we weren't aware of the new rules) so they made their way up and went to help themselves - she was very abrupt telling them to "move away from the salad bar!" and sent my partner and son back to their seats like naughty school children! It almost ruined the whole experience!

Absolutely dire. The meal came out and I thought I'd been served a child's portion.When I put the first piece of chicken in my mouth the rubbery texture immediately made me realise it hadn't been cooked properly.The waitress agreed without any fuss and offered a replacement. I politely declined and we left.

Friendly staffCouldn’t make my own salad sadly which is my favourite thing to do. Didn’t feel right asking a stranger to fill up a bowl with pickled onions ans pineapple 😂. But it was delicious anyway.The Thai green curry literally killed me, I can’t handle mild spice but this thing was 65% fresh slices chilli 🌶Still delicious and the fact they had multiple vegan options was greatAnd the desserts! Super yum .Would fully recommend they start making it a little more special.. perhaps some chocolate chips and crumbled biscuits or honeycomb to sprinkle into the ice cream ..
