What a lovely find. Lovely accommodating staff, lovely atmosphere and superb food. We will be back.We stopped off on our trip along The Spa Valley Railway for a birthday meal for my husband. It could not have gone better. The staff were so friendly and the food would not have been bettered in a top class restaurant. We were very impressed and happy with our choice of venue. Thank you to all! 😀

Our first impression of the menu was that it is expensive. We ordered Garlic Bread and Loaded chips and were impressed when they came - large portions and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our visit and thought it good value.

Hopped off at Groombridge station for a wander round and was met almost immediately with The Junction Inn, looked nice from the outside so we thought we'd stop in for a pint or two before we had to get back to the station.Only had time for a pint and the loaded chips unfortunately, but staff were very accommodating and brought it out quickly for us.Very cheesy which is just what my partner likes and the chips themselves were done really well. Will like to come back to try the curry as I can see people have said it is good.

I had a great time yesterday the staff are friendly and hard working. The seating is good with plenty of space I had a burger and it was good loved the chips. It was very cold but that's to be expected on an April evening

This was one of the stops on the Spa Valley Railway. We stopped here for lunch since it’s very close to the train station. The pub is very cozy and laid back. The fire place gave it a nice ambiance. The restaurant also specializes in Malaysian food. I tried the pork dish with rice and it was delicious!

Three of us went in for lunch. Pleasant lady working behind the bar kindly brought us drinks to our table. Nice Malaysian menu selection and very unusual specials, so worth going if you like Malaysian food and want to try something different. My friend had Pork Dumpling which she enjoyed and it was a generous portion so we helped her out with them and I had Thai style Chicken Nuggets. I choosethe Kapitan Chicken Curry my main course which the menu clearly states is accompanied by prawn crackers (see photo), however, when it was served there were no prawn crackers and I enquired and was told I was wrong it doesn't come with prawn crackers. I explained the menu said it did and was again told it did not come with prawn crackers. They didn't even offer to go and get me any as a gesture of goodwill. The Kapitan Chicken curry was bland and not spicy (the lady had said it was the spiciest dish on the menu!!!) and the rice crispy on the outside, better in the middle. Had a nice amount of chicken but could have done with more sauce. I tried some of my friends Babi Ponteh (slow cooked pork) which my friend had ordered as she doesn't like very spicy food. It wasn't spicy as promised and had a real depth of flavour so was very enjoyable. My other friend had Wild Boar Rendang which was spicy and she enjoyed that too. There were a selection of cheese cakes or ice cream for dessert. Disappointingly a service charge is added to the bill. Would be better if the staff read their own menu and cooked/served as described! I have been generous awarding three stars on this occasion.

Stumbled upon this pub while going for a drive in East Sussex .What a pleasant surprise the owner was accommodating and very helpful. The inn was packed and he still managed to find me and my wife a tableFirst thing I did notice was the pub was very dog friendly . The food was tasty and the choice was wide ranging from a full on Sunday roast to a Malaysian currys with all the side dishes that accompany that.As for the price very reasonable,I will return
