This is a Garden Pub in the truest sense of the genre! Absolute perfect for a chilled friends or family afternoon. The new garden terrace offers outstanding views!Best Sunday lunch we’ve had in ages. Simple food cooked well… I had their own hand reared pork… delicious!

Nice pub, terrible staff. We were in the restaurant for one and a half hours with no food appearing. It took at least 45 minutes to give us menus and come and take our order. When we politely enquired when it might be ready we were met with a defensive, unpleasant attitude and told the chef was on his own and was doing his best. Half an hour later when we still didn’t have food and felt the atmosphere had soured we decided to pay for our drinks and leave without food. We were told that we hadn’t gone straight to the table and it was our own fault. It’s true that we were having a drink and were 20 minutes late to the table but weren’t told there was any urgency and were still in the actual restaurant for two hours. The chef/owner did apologise but his staff told him we were an hour late to the table which we corrected and things started to get heated at which point we left.We understand that unforeseen issues can occur which can be stressful for staff but there can be no excuse for the poor communication and lack of professionalism and customer service. A real shame!

The burger was over cooked (dry) and the burger bun was burnt. The beer was excellent and my guests all enjoyed their meals.I was just unlucky.

Nice buffet provided for an informal Christmas "do". Friendly staff, good beer range but driving 😥

Nice Sunday roast, both the pork belly and topside beef were good. Lovely large garden bar/eating area that includes a small outdoor theatre (set up but we weren’t there during a performance). Great countryside views and lots of trees.

Delicious & clearly very fresh food; vast portions; lovely personable unhurried service. A really enjoyable lunch & highly recommended.

My first visit to this pub and to be honest I can't fault it. The staff were very friendly and the food, fish n chips was lovely too. They were running a BBQ for the day but to be honest the cost for a burger at £8 seemed slightly over priced. The garden was lovely and very busy but it didn't feel claustrophobic. My only gripe if I had to is smokers, sitting beside me and lighting up. Would definitely return.

Wonderful freshly baked, hand made garlic bread, hot from the oven, mmmh! Will come back for more... dog friendly, big car park and garden with view... lovely old pub.
