The Plough and Harrow in Wealden

We always try and eat here on birthdays, anniversaries etc if we are in the area. The menu seems to cater for most and as a vegan there isn't a bad vegan option. The menu changes but at the moment there are a couple of starters, three mains and two desserts. The surrounding countryside is beautiful too.

Great pub with nicely set up outdoor space. Paddled from cuckmere haven. Friendly staff and lovely food, had the vegan toastie with chips - well recommend 👍

Lovely pub with ample parking and both a large outside garden and a smaller patio garden area. There were four of us having lunch and all four dishes were very good with generous portions. My mum has some minor mobility issues but managed the entrance steps ok. All together a nice experience which we hope to repeat very soon.

First time in this pub and it was lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful. We order food and we didn't have to wait to long. Food came out hot, food is a reasonable good price. Definitely be coming back soon

Very enjoyable place and a beautiful setting. Food was great too. We had the egg and ham, which hit the spot after our morning walk.The eggs were really flavoursome.

Sorry but only average food taste, presented well, average price, quick and friendly service.Calamari was anemic and not that warm, soup was OK, fish pie well I've had better taste from Iceland.

Late lunch for three adults with a dog. Large car park and more parking out on the street. Outdoor seating area has trestle bench tables (in good condition) with sun umbrellas - where we sat, and adjacent seating area also had said tables and is roofed. No booking in advance, turn up and wait for someone to leave! Lots of hard-working and helpful staff running around. Oh, and gents toilet was modern, very clean and (unusually for a pub restaurant) non-aromatic! 3 x roast beef Sunday lunches, 2 G&T, 1 Moult cider and three pints of local ale Long Man Sleeping Giant (very nice) followed by cheese and crackers (excellent, apple slices, red and white grapes, crackers, chutney and three nice cheeses - enough in one portion for three people to share) was £76.50. Roast meals large and very nice, albeit beef was too chewy and lacked flavour and beef Sunday dinner was our reason for visiting... thus great overall but only four star rating (fix the beef!).

Beautiful little pub with lots of outdoor seating. Didn't go inside as the sun was shining. Food was delicious and staff were lovely, will definitely return! Highly recommend.

We've been looking for a place where we can eat and can go with our dog. The location is excellent, located in a tranquil village, spacious, with a very nice outdoor seating area. The food was delicious ad very nicely served, and the service friendly.
