We booked a table for 12 guests including 2 babies, there was no access via ramp for pushchairs (or a wheelchair), there were no trays available for the highchairs, we ordered our food and things were missed off the order, we had to keep chasing them to get it sorted, throughout the meal we were visited by 4 different members of staff to see if we were OK. Drinks were not charged for and we had surprise bill at the the after already paying for the meal. Dogs mess in the garden where children were playing. Overall disgusting

Visited here on Mother's Day and had a spectacular meal, they was very busy but that was to be expected, they were short staffed but the staff working was rushed off their feet. I was astounded listening to a table nearby complaining about everything especially the waiting time on food. It was a lovely day, the garden and Inside was full to the brim, it was Mother's Day. Its all home cooked food, its presented nicely, it's hot and brought to you by friendly staff, you couldn't of asked for anything better but In some people's eyes, it was never going to be good enough, if people want quick microwave food then go to Brewers Fayre or Harvester.

Good food (not exceptional), large portions, nice atmosphere. Well kept beers and tasty wines. The only downside was considerable confusion at the end of the evening calculating the bill. But I'd go back.

The food was very nice, however the waitress may have been new but seemed utterly clueless about the menu, the wines and the pub in general, which was a let down. It was our first time eating there and I am sure we could be persuaded to return if the staff were a bit more informed.

Just returned from Sunday lunch with a family of 10 including 2 toddlers. Excellent Roasts and all the food was enjoyed by all. Staff very helpful, polite and patient with us all. Good parking . An overall very enjoyable experience.

Lovely staff, seating was a bit tricky but the team were really accommodating. The chips aren't as good as they used to be but still great. Nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options too!

Lovely old country pub, oozing with genuine character. The food, while not cheap, was delicious and portions were generous and the service was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely Sunday lunch! Fish cakes, steak pie and lamb roast all thoroughly enjoyed! Roast potatoes were beautifully golden and crispy, which from experience, isn’t often the case with most pub roasts. Nice selection of children’s meals too. The service was also very good; attentive and very pleasant staff. Thoroughly recommend!

Excellent Sunday roast. If you like your meat, go for the mixed roast which comes with chicken, pork and beef with crackling, giant Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. Then some nice veggies. The kids had a great time on the outside play area which kept them busy until food arrived.Very enjoyable with pleasant staff and a lovely atmosphere
