Nice pub friendly staff. One criticism their wine list is limited.

Massive beer garden in two sections, one of which has a huge play area and is completely fenced off so kids can run around safely. Good price for the drinks and a nice range of tasty food

Very nice staff nice atmosphere but the Sunday roast dinner was not up to scratch

Visited there on Sunday, very warm welcome, lovely staff and a lovely Sunday roast. My only criticism is that the pub itself could have been warmer, as many customers were keeping their coats on. However, would definitely go back again.

Good food really friendly service and we were able to park our motorhome for the night. We'll be back. PS the hunters chicken is great.

We had planned a different venue for Sunday lunch after a walk. That was full, but we were lucky to get the final table here. Our smallish dog was welcomed. There was an interesting menu but we just wanted a decent burger and chips and very nice it was too!Good friendly service at the bar, even though it was busy. I would not hesitate to revisit. It was a very pleasant experience indeed.

We were on holiday somy wife and myself arrived for something to eat on Sunday, it was my birthday.Unfortunately the food had just finished, we had already been turned away from another pub.I was cheeky enough to ask the owner if there was a chance they could rustle something up for us to eat, I didnt mention my birthday. She spoke to the chef who amazingly said he could do something. We were offered a roast, we had chicken. It duly arrived, a massive portion it was too.It tasted as good as it looked and was washed down beautifully with a couple of pints of Spitfire the local ale.The service and kindness shown by this establishment was great to see and really appreciated and it made my birthday extra special. Many thanks to the lady we spoke to who persuaded the chef to "rustle up" a lovely meal.If ever I'm in this area again I will definitely stop off again.Thankyou.

I wish I could rate this place more than 5 stars. After having a wonder of the town we found this pub to have some late lunch not realising they all shut there kitchens around 3, we went to leave after finding this out but the staff went above and beyond to cook us some lunch. I had the Mac and Cheese which was the best thing I have ever eaten and my partner had the ham egg and chips which he said was really good too. They had a good offer on that with a ice cream to follow which again was so refreshing and yummy. I wish we lived closer to be able to return as we loved it there, again thank you so much for feeding us we are beyond grateful!
