The Village Shop & Cafe in Wealden

Just had a lovely breakfast here with my husband, served by really cheery staff. Food tasted amazing and the cafe/shop had a really great atmosphere. Parking was very limited so we had to park down the main road but apart from that, was absolutely perfect. Will definitely be returning.

As the friend I took to the Village Shop the other day remarked, 'It's a little hidden gem!' So it is. A delightful setting, friendly and helpful staff and a great, unhurried, atmosphere. All that and, most importantly, the food. Now, I'm not a lover of the burger. However, I took a chance and had the 60z burger with fries. It was excellent. Just the right size, tender and juicy and extremely well seasoned. A delight. My friend had a toasted cheese sandwich with salad and her verdict was equally positive. It's obvious that all the staff take a pride in the quality of the food and service. Highly recommended and we shall be visiting again.

We had such a lovely breakfast. We sat in the converted garage bit which was so cool and quirky!! The gentleman serving us was brilliant and amazing at his job :)). The food was delicious and the cakes inside the shop looked so good as well but we were too full! I’ll be back and bring my mum very soon! :)

The best Full English Breakfast, made with the finest local produce, I've had in a very long time. My Girlie had the veggie option and thought the same. Can sit inside or out in the pretty little garden area. Thanks Village Shop People 👌Warm and friendly place. The chap that served us was a joy, bubbly, humourous, good fun whilst remaining professional. He even posed for a picture, thank you Sir.

Unique shop and cafe. The food is tasty and excellent service. Good for breakfast, lunch or a good coffee. Inside and outside seating is available. Shopping for your not so typical items can be found there. The wine selection for carryout is very good for such a small place. Limited parking available on-site, but street parking is also available.

Best full English I've had for a long time accompanied by a couple of nice americanos and lovely staff on attendance. I had an outside table in the sunshine and listened to the song thrushes and blackbirds singing their hearts out. What more could anyone want. I shall return.

My new favourite place to eat. Great secluded location, interior has loads of character and the staff make you feel very welcome. Great food, great service. Definitely will be returning

Beautiful cafe / shop. Food homemade delights! Jammed packed with full breakfasts and shopping! Ate outside with delightful coffee and croissant. Going back. Staff friendly and clean toilet!

The absolute best place to eat or grab a coffee in the local area. Lovely staff, quirky decor and loads of food and drink options. The oat flat whites are unbelievable, you can build your own breakfast and they're really accommodating for kids and families too. Lots of really nice baked goods to take away with you after breakfast or lunch top - try the cookies, they are insane

Love this place! An absolute gem. Shop & cafe. Great selection of fresh food including local produce and baked goods, really friendly service and placed in a nice spot set back from the road. Tables in & outdoors. Photos don’t do it justice. And they’ve got a nice bathroom!Cacao flapjack bars were exceptional.
