Family Friend took us out, they haven't been in years but remembered it had always had nice family owned and cooked food. The service was lovely, a wide selection of drinks, it was the food that let it all down sadly. The calamari may as well have been tossed out of an iceland bag and Microwaved. My fish was so small, mountains of chips and a side of Veg to share.. Below average then what we had expected sad to say I doubt we'll be back.

Visited today lovely food our only complaint would be no one came round to ask if everything was okay Also on leaving my husband left a nice tip but older lady behind bar couldn’t be bothered to say thank U or ask if we had enjoyed the meal just took the money and carried on with next customer. Not great people skills However we would go back as good was very nice.

We visited The Yew Tree Inn last month to celebrate our mum's birthday. We were a table of 14 and all chose different meals from the varied menu and none of us were disappointed. All of the food was delicious and nicely presented. I had the belly pork which was exceptional. Service was excellent as well, we can't wait to visit again very soon.

Apr 22: had a lovely relaxed, comfortable family meal here in the very roomy, dog friendly village pub. Decor was clean and tidy. It has many tables inside and out in the large garden (18 tables) with large car park only a short distance from the beautiful St Pancras Church. It's friendly and inviting with guest WiFi. The menu too is large and varied with a specials board. The meals arrived very quickly were piping hot. The home made 7oz "Yew Know What Yew Want" beef burger with cheese, bacon and chips was delicious. All portions were very generous. Staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Tables were cleaned properly after guests left. Top marks Yew Tree Inn 🙂we shall definitely be coming back 👍

Average food and unfortunately not helpful staff, we were sat in a very drafty cold place but was told all the other empty tables were booked, not one other table was used during our time there, also one of our table received their meal a long time after the rest of us, and the same happened for dessert, however after speaking to the manager/owner? when paying he was very apologetic and gave a discount, it may be worth one more visit.

Great service and very good food. The perfect country pub with some fab walks on the doorstep. Well worth a visit

Very disappointed. I had looked forward to visiting this pub for a while and took my mum for her 70th birthday meal. Some of the food we were served was extremely disappointing, small portions and very salty and the desserts did not meet up to their descriptions. We were not asked at any point if our meal was ok, even when we paid. They just took our money & said goodbye. For the money we paid I would expect better service, food and portions.

Under new management and only had a drink. Not as much food choice and prices have gone up but has everywhere. Food portions were always good but can't comment this time.

Good friendly service. The food was well prepared and served, in ample portions. We weren't hurried when we finished. Highly recommended.
