Such a stunning hotel. The staff, hotel, rooms and amenities exceeded our expectations. There were lovely touches throughout the hotel. The gardens are lovely and a great place to sit and chill with a drink. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very tasty. Will definitely go back again to stay and will be back for the Sunday roasts which everyone was raving about when we checked in!

Lovely bedroom and location. Bath plug didn't close properly and water never got hot, so had a lukewarm, half filled bath. Food was disappointing - so expensive for a very average sandwich and incredibly salty scrambled eggs that became inedible.

Stopped by for a highly recommended delicious afternoon tea while visiting Alfriston and at the same time try and find out the origin of its name. Wingrove House has very interesting history according to a book I looked through but unfortunately it's not clear how the name came about.

Simply Beautiful. Just had lunch, nicely prepared sandwich served by a very pleasant lady in an idyllic setting, what more can you ask for.

Sunday lunch was truly terrible yesterday. Service was poor. The roast lamb was inedible and the chocolate brownie dry and hard. They still overcharged for the main but replaced the dessert and waived the charge. Won’t be returning.

Stopped off after a walk to have a coffee and cake. Service was excellent served with a smile. Sitting area was very comfortable and warm. Would recommend to family and friends.

Absolutely wonderful, hidden gem of a hotel located at the tail end of Alfriston High Street. Staff are very polite and helpful ... spotlessly clean ... hotel has a Scottish hunting lodge feel ... breakfasts are delicious ... 5* all the way. Would recommend rooms 3 and 4 which have pretty little colonial style balconies with heaters and a nice view over the prettily manicured front gardens ... the perfect place to curl up with a good book and nice glass of fizz! Am SO pleased we stayed here, as opposed to other hotels in the neighbourhood. This will be my chosen place to stay next time I visit Glyndebourne ... the hotel is conveniently located a 15 minute drive away and a wonderful way to prolong a very special evening. Thank you SO much and am looking forward to my next visit

We booked Wingrove House for our Wedding Day and we really couldn't have picked a better venue. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and decorated so well. The staff provided a 5* service, they attended to our every need and went above and beyond helping us plan our wedding day to make it perfect. The food at Wingrove was absolutely incredible, we had many compliments from our guests and we just couldn't have asked for a better day.The rooms were excellent quality, all very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. If anyone is thinking about having a wedding here I would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff at Wingrove House for making our day perfect.

Lovely little place in Alfriston! Very quiet, beautiful location. Stopped off for some cream tea and lunch! Great food, great drinks, I would highly recommend coming back here and if the weather is good, sit outside and take in the lovely garden and sunshine!

We stayed at the Wingrove the night before, and the night of, our wedding! We had an excellent stay, a delicious evening meal and breakfasts. We stayed in the Churchill room which had plenty of room for bridal preparations and was a lovely setting for photographs. The staff were very helpful and we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks for a lovely stay, maybe we will be able to come back for anniversaries :-)
