Blandy’s Bar and Bistro in West Berkshire

Wonderful location, excellent food all our dishes looked and tasted fantastic! Smoked duck breast starter was a highlight. Most enjoyable evening where we had the restaurant to ourselves! Staff were really helpful and friendly.Look forward to coming again.

Warm welcome to a beautiful and peaceful environment. Excellent service throughout. Menu was a limited Sunday menu, the food exceptional. Limited, well selected wine list. Good quality all round. Definitely one to revisit.

Surprisingly lacklustre. No idea why it has an AA rosette. It's in a retirement village, and I've no idea why anyone from outside would want to particularly visit the restaurant. Judging by the complete lack of external signage, the management doesn't expect that either. The food was mostly pleasant, sometimes indifferent, and never exciting. Our main course didn't arrive until 90 mins after we sat down.

Accommodating regarding food allergies. Amazing afternoon tea - would definitely recommend x

A Sunday lunch at the restaurant at Blandys - excellent as always (with a few suggestions for anyone visiting).We've used Blandys over a few years now, and post-Covid, it's as good as always and one of the aspects that pleases me is that the waitress today (the same as many other staff) are long-serving so the firm protected their staff during Covid - well done.The ambiance, service and food was excellent as always; well done Blandys at Inglewood.Suggestions:- If you plan to visit, when you book, it helps to tell them if you're a vegetarian; they'll make sure you have a good choice.- they close the kitchen at 2pm which seems a little early, so try to be there for 1 or 1.15 so there isn't a risk of small services (the proportions are normally great)

What a fantastic experience I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. The lamb was cooked to perfection and just the way I like it. My wife was also very complimentary about her dish. I think we have found a gem here and could not fault our experience.

A true countryside gem and off the beaten track. We have lived near this place for years but went for the first time this month with friends. I have to say the food and service was a very high a standard but still felt comfortable and freindly at all times. The menu was to die for and everything we had tasted out of this world. You know a place is good when you're still talking about it a week after the event!

Food was nice. The surroundings are lovely. Unfortunately this was let down by the strange experience with some of the staff. Firstly, the dessert order was incorrect which the waitress pointed out as she handed us the bill - without taking the dessert off the bill.Secondly, when we paid the bill with the waitress, we did so with Amex. Then the manager came rushing out, told us we had cost him and his business £8 by doing so (inaccurate as Amex charges around 3% per sale...). We apologised and said we hadn't been advised otherwise, and went to leave. He came rushing back with the card machine and got us to refund the payment back onto the Amex, getting us to pay again with debit. We had no chance to back out of this, as he was quite pushy about it, and we ended up having to pay with a card we weren't planning on using.This was all very strange and left us wanting to avoid coming back despite a lovely day at the spa beforehand. Work on customer service for non-residents please!!!!

I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, well presented and really great value for money. The staff are very friendly and make sure that all their customers have everything they need for a great dining experience. The building and the grounds are stunning.
