We only visited for a short while but a really nice pub, beautifully transformed inside and picturesque gardens next to the canal. Nice food and good beer. We visited having spent 4 hours on the canal on the horse drawn canal barge. An idyllic day!

Outstanding pub and the best service you would ever want from Rob and the team! Perfectly situated on the canal with lovely views, great food and service that I haven’t seen for years!

The outdoor location is perfect on a sunny day. Food was OK and not good value.Service was OK, the one that served our food did not even ask if we wanted any sauce or need anything else. With our roast pork we got, 2 very thin slices of pork belly (as thin as packet ham), 1.5 roast potatoes that were not quite cooked and the Yorkshire pudding was rubbery not fresh. £19 for this.... really?

Lovely little inn, easily accessible by train from London. Right along the river, with a garden, good food, and comfy rooms. The family and crew that manages it are very kind as well. Recommend as a quick getaway to the countryside!

Lovely friendly staff, good service despite staffing pressures, food was fabulous and good local beer. Setting is amazing alongside the canal. Eat, drink, enjoy and walk it off with a stunning walk afterwards!

I stayed here for three nights to attend a wedding nearby. I had a riverside room with it's own little patio on the river bank. The food was really good and the staff bent over backwards to be helpful. People who leave poor reviews need to remember that this is a typical old style pub and not a city hotel.

Thanks to the Dundas arms for a great doggy weekend. It's the most dog friendly place I've ever stayed where our four legged chums are allowed everywhere at all times. The bar and restaurant are good value with tables outside and in and Shannon and the hardworking staff find time to make the service feel personal. The pub is smack on the Kennet & Avon Canal with great walks in all directions. Brilliant stuff all round.

We had a great Sunday Roast, really delicious and good portions (i'm veggie it was great, the meat eaters were very happy too!) The house beer was nice and good value. Lovely setting, the outdoor seating looked lovely.

I've always enjoyed this pub before it got franchised out as it's location is right on the canal in Kintbury. Since it's much needed renovation which massively improved it made it a much better place for the local community to meet. The food has always been consistent but over priced for what it is but on a special occasion like Christmas worthwhile. Unfortunately the service and tastes weren't so great on this visit but we did have a very festive time all the same, thank you and I look forward to returning another time.
