Englefield Stores and Tea Room in West Berkshire

Could be wrong but about a year back they weren't offering tea anymore and the lease on the shop was about to expire without a viable tenant to take it on. I assume the store is still running but the tea room isn't - i'll pop in next time and update this review but wanted to warn anyone thinking of visiting

Sadly the Tea Shop is closed, looking like it won’t open again. It’s sad because the store is not sustainable without the tea shop.

My friend and I visited this tearoom again yesterday; our last visit was during the summer. What a pleasure to be back! The home-made cakes are 1000% delicious… We had the coffee cake and lemon cake… Lovely and moist. Excellent coffee from a cafetière. We look forward to returning again later this year. Thank you.

This tearoom is in a lovely location, the food is very nice as are the staff. The only thing that spoiled it for me today we're the troublesome flies (several) in the actual tearoom. Some form of flytrap would be a good investment I feel.

Gorgeous coffee cake and well deserved cup of tea. Highly recommend.

The lady who mans the café also bakes the cakes and her baking is fantastic.I eat far too much cake and can safely say that her coffee cake is one of the best I've ever had. Not dry, full of flavour, excellent butter cream.The cream tea was also worth every penny.Highly recommended for a genuine slice of good country baking (especially on a sunny day).

A lovely tea room. I usually get there quite early for a coffee but I can imagine it would get very busy later on and the meals and cakes look delicious. There are about 5 or 6 tables inside and the same number outside. I believe it closes for the whole of January so might be worth checking if you're aiming to visit then.

Enjoy a nice cup of tea/coffee and support a local business. It is a hidden gem. Staff are always nice and their cakes are delicious.
