Fox and Hounds Donnington in West Berkshire

Great sausages and mash with not the normal vegetables. Probably the best bangers and mash for miles. All this with great service and the best pint I've had in a long time. Highly recommend.

Some pubs say they are worth driving too,but this one definitely is.Arrived for Sunday lunch and both of us where warmly welcomed.We were show to a table and handed menus,water was placed on the table with us having to ask.Choice was amazing but we ended up with Ham Hock and a wild mushroom starter (gorgeous) followed by roast beef and leg of lamb both with yorkies and a selection of veg that just shows the chef has some imagination and not a boring Pea in sight.Desserts where again delightful and over all prices are very good.Staff where attentive throughout with being OTT.BIG thank you all and we will be back

Couldn't ask for more. Perfect pies...stuffed full and shortcrust pastry. Loads of scrummy veg and chips. Had to leave some!!! Staff were prompt, courteous and helpful. Need to go back for Sundal lunch

Marvellous lunch today at this lovely welcoming pub which continues to go from strength to strength. Who would have thought that a simple pasta dish could be so tasty or that liver and bacon could reach gourmet standard! Such attentive staff too. Well done you guys xx

Had a birthday lunch today a beautiful roast. I have never tasted lamb so tender and perfect large portion. Wonderful service kind friendly efficient staff. Would go again fabulous.

I broke down an hour away from home and I couldn’t have been more unluckily lucky! I stumbled across this gem who welcomed me with open arms. Such a friendly establishment, staff are really well mannered and attentive, the chefs are on point, efficient service and great tasting food. I went for a steak, the portion size and and presentation could not be faulted at all just lovely. Massive thank you to Steph the owner I really appreciate your kindness.

Excellent, tasty food at a very reasonable price. The meals weren't just delicious but also presented beautifully. I had the steak and Guinness pie, and my wife opted for the slow cooked lamb- both amazing. On top of that, staff were great and attentive, and their grounds had plenty of parking.

Delicious, great value, high quality food, really friendly service, lucky enough to sit outside in rare winter sun too! Would definitely recommend! Had the most incredible "fish finger" sandwich - best one I've ever had! My other half had a BLT which he said was incredible! Crystal clear real ale too! Yum!

Outstanding.... Myself and Mother were just amazed at the standard of service and the quality of the food. Having recently been the Vinyard I can say its on the same level... go there, eat, enjoy you will not be disappointed

Very friendly restaurant, very busy at Friday night, delicious meal. Run by several girls who really love the food good. Even the toilet is clean and tidy with classic mirror on the wall. We ordered 3 special mains on Friday, slow cooked lamb tower with vegetables. The lamb was shaped as a tower, so impressed. The favourite desert was the warm chocolate, and three of our installation team members also shared a cheese cake. Wonderful night. The restaurant is near M4, easy to access. We have saved it to our favourite restaurant list.
