High Rise Fish Bar in West Berkshire

very disappointed and definitely not coming here again. on 3rd may 2022 i took my wife and kids here. to start off with, the food was awful, and then the owner tried to kidnap my son, mark.

We had Chinese takeaway of chicken chow mein and a few chips. The food was really nice and will have it again.

The best fish and chips in Reading out 10 I'll give it higher, they are very polite and the food is prepared while you wait and it's worth waiting for, everyone in Reading should go to the High Rise bar, you won't be disappointed at all.

The satay chicken was lovely, chicken curry was very nice. Very friendly stuff and the Chinese food was very delicious and authentic. Definitely would recommend!

Very nice service with delicious fish. Chips are too greasy for me, to be honest, and not crispy at all, too white, they look undercooked but are not.

Tried this for the first time. The bamboo shoots were nasty. All woody and impossible to eat. Skimping on the quality of basic ingredients doesn't inspire confidence.

Best Fish and Chips in the whole of Reading. Try the Cheeseburger in batter, it's a rarity but absolutely lovely. Wish we had somewhere that does this in Bournemouth.

Normally places that do multiple food types do neither very well.The High Rise Bar breaks this stereotype. Their fish and chips are great and the Chinese is the best takeaway in the area. In a way I am glad they do not deliver and cannot be found on "Just Eat" as I'd be ordering multiple times a week!What ever you order expect a wait whilst they cook it fresh. The wait will be worth it. If your not the paitent type call ahead to order, then rock up and collect.

The only chinese we ever go to. Absolutely love the food here and the staff are really friendly. Ordering for collection is recommended on busy nights to avoid the queue. The chip shop side is fantastic too, we love ordering from here as a special treat. It is cash only but there's a free cash machine outside the co op but if it isn't working co op does do cash back. Avoid the cash machine to the right as it charges.

Great fish & chip shop come Chinese takeaway. Really friendly, fast service and great food. I've even turned up as they are locking the door at the end of the day and they've opened specially and cooked me a fish & chips around the back. Can't fault them at all.
