Thought we would give it a try, what a mistake, food was watery and hardly any taste not even sure all the order was right ! Would not recommend

Not very nice! For the past few times we order has just gone downhill.

Ordered some curry and chicken chowmein for take away as usual. We regularly order from this take away, but was disgusted this time as the currys was hurriedly prepared. They got the vegetables and chicken and dumped curry sauce on top, it was not even mixed properly. You could see the chicken on its own. Very disappointed, the chowmein was okay but the curry was a waste of money. Made me feel like not visiting the take away.

Very poor. Soft tasteless prawns. Egg fried rice a brown gelatinous lump. Spare ribs OK but barbecue sauce has an odd chemical taste and jelly like texture. Service quick and efficient. Wont' be going back.

We ordered and made a collection. Perfect!! unfortunately the Chips were missing with the order when I arrived home so I made the call to the takeaway Chinese and they were delivered to the house very quickly with an apology so no issues at all. My kids really enjoyed it too so good job all round and will be back, thank you!

Definitely the best Chinese in Newbury! I won't order from anywhere else! Prices are great, food is incredible and delivery is super quick. The staff are so kind, I always get a Chinese calendar at New Year!

Delivery was within the stated hour but oh my the food is of very poor standard. Will never order from here again. Over cooked, dry, lacking flavour, too much salt. Prawn crackers was the only really edible thing. Threw away over half the food.

Been getting take-aways here for years and have always had great food.However, for the first time ever, I was unable to eat the shrimp curry I bought. Maybe they've changed the supplier (maybe they make it themselves, who knows?) but it was unedible.Everything else was still good so won't hold this against them, but they owe me on that one, it was minging!

Very poor quality food. They said 45minutes for delivery but arrived after 15minutes from time of order. Explained it all when we ate our food. Raw chips. Half of the prawns in the sweet & sour weren’t even covered in sauce so I presume they have a pot of prawns they plonk into the sauce at the end. No flavour in any of our dishes and certainly not the cheapest takeaway in Newbury. Would not recommend or return to this place. AVOID.

Used to be Average, but now I had to throw food away while hungry.Summary: Used to be Average, now seems like they don't even taste their own recipes.Let's start with 3 Stars, then add and/or subtract for special points!Quality of ingredients were disappointing, all dishes ordered had an off taste.-The Crispy Seaweed only tasted of salt and sugar in a non-palatable way.-The meat dishes tasted like they had been left out for days but just hot in temperature.-Prawns were good size, but I couldn't eat more than 1 (one) in fear of falling ill.-Vegetables were overly squidgy, with a slightly sour taste in a bad way.-Fried Rice was stale.Quantity was satisfactory with each dish filling a normal sized plastic container - but I couldn't get through a third of each dish before calling it quits.Prices were average - can't remember what the total was, but I don't remember being shocked by the bill either.Customer service was good, communication was clear.Given the amount of food that I had to throw away (and I almost never waste any food), I can only give it a Terrible 1 Star.-It's a shame, because I had their food in early 2014 and it was okay, it's like they are a completely different Takeaway with different management and/or chef.With the vast number of other Oriental Takeaways within 5 minutes' walking distance, I'll probably never go back.Visited January 2015
