Nando's in West Berkshire

I visited Newbury from London on Easter with the family and had a great experience in the Nando’s Newbury.. It wasn’t very busy so we didn’t have to wait long. The interior didn’t disappoint as usual. Our host Matt was exceptional in the service he provided and the kids liked him. He also recommended some places for us to visit while in Newbury which was really helpful . Shall definitely visit again.

Always loved nandos, this one was just as delicious as they usually are. Friendly staff and speedy service are always a plus. Will definitely be returning again soon.

1st time back for a while as it seemed to be going downhill, really happy to report its great again. Hopefully it carries on.

Cracking Nando's with all the usual menu options (except the frozen yogurt machine which was broken) Good range of veggie options surprisingly for a chicken place. The brownie was rather dull so my recommendation is the chocolate cake which is rich and moist. Only minor point is you can't book for a large group and we had to wait for a table although I could see space available.

We’ve been ordering food from this Nando’s for a good 4 years now, but unfortunately the quality has gone downhill over the last couple of months.I ordered a takeaway order and walked to the door at the allocated time. It took 10 minutes of waiting to be seen, even though multiple staff members saw a line of people waiting, but were chatting and laughing with random people who weren’t in uniform just walking behind the counter. Eventually I was greeted by someone after staring them down and I told them I was collecting an order I had placed online, so I was told to wait by the counter. 5 minutes later a different staff member asked what I was there for, so I repeated that I was collecting a takeaway order, so they went to the counter and asked what I’d like to order…. So I repeated myself for a 3rd time that I was COLLECTING an order, the food was handed over and I walked home.Turns out that the chicken butterfly was undercooked anyway. But I was so frustrated I just decided to leave it.I would have understood if it was a busy Friday night and the place was packed. But it wasn’t, it was a quiet Monday evening.Just get it together guys.

I love nandos but unfortunately this restaurant in Newbury is a shambles. Everytime I've been I always think they'll have improved but unfortunately not. I'm currently sat waiting for my order 20 minutes after being told it would be ready (1 hour since ordered), staff are not rushed off their feet and don't seem to show any interest in urgency, lots of joking/laughing as well as bad language in range of customer's prompting another member of staff to suggest being quiet.I SEE YOU MATT.

First time visiting in ages. Quickly seated, food was quick but rice was solid in the dish and came out dish shaped!! (definitely reheated or microwaved). Had to stand up to get servers attention for drink refills on a quiet night too!. Overall quite disappointed as the Oracle Nando's that I visited recently was much better food and service. Think I'll travel the extra to avoid this Nando's in future!.

Quick update: Open and serving indoors. Very safe, well spaced and clean downs after every service. Please support our hospitality industry.Nando's is my staple. I have eaten here so many times that I have lost count. Originally from South Africa, this gem mixes Portuguese peri-peri with succulent, grilled chicken. It is always best straight off the grill rather than take-away. It's exactly the same every time, at every Nando's. I know wherever, whenever, I am guaranteed a great meal. Love it.
