Soyami in West Berkshire

I was craving for Korean food, and Soyami was what Google recommended. We went here at the weekend. They open at 12:00. The place is in the town centre, with access to many shops. The lady who served us was amiable; she made sure that our orders were placed and we don’t run out of side dishes. The food we ordered was their bbq set meal, with unlimited side dishes! And i was so ecstatic because this was the first restaurant that i have been to that offered endless side dishes. Their bbq set was also delicious and mouth-watering. We also ordered their sweet n sour tofu- I was not really in awe of the sweet n sour tofu. Aside from that, everything was fantastic and made my stomach full and happy! ☺️

Amazing food. The chef cooked it fresh for us! The price was great and it was really quick. I will definitely be returning!

Ordered the korean bbq for 2 people. It was absolutely delicious. It seemed a smallish portion at first - all sorts of raw meats sliced thinly - but once we started bbq-ing them at the table, we became full in no time. Rice and vegetables were replenished every time they finished. Best meal in a long time. The kimchi was absolutely delicious.

Always good food. Staff are always cheerful and helpful.

Fantastic experience. To start off, the space is beautifully clean, the staff is friendly and the food was fantastic. The set meal BBQ is fantastic value. So much for for £20 a head. We could not be happier. Will be coming back!

So happy we gave Soyami a try....we are very fussy with Asian cuisine and always worry it'll be usual ready made and cheap ingredients -- Soyami offers quality dishes for a decent price! The prawns are fresh and even included the coveted flavour most Westerners are not used to...they offer a quicker lunch menu but recommend their evening menu more. They have put thought into their main Menu dishes...we had the crispy squid and Seafood Ramen for a late lunch and staff are very friendly without being in your face...... cannot wait to try the Korean BBQ .... Happy to say Best Asian food in Newbury!SEPT 2020Still going strong and we had one of our best meals today, BibImbap was on point! Proper hot dolsot bowl meant you get the crispy rice at the bottom, and beef was properly flavoured. Also had Duck Ramen and so happy with the tender duck slices, great stock and better noodles as not overcooked. Always has a smile for the customers and knows the dishes. She's been here since Soyami opened and she's as cheerful as the day they opened. The place is so much better because of her.

Very pleasant staff, food very tasty and inexpensive :)

Just popped in for lunch on a Saturday, the menu was written a bit strangely and did not describe the dishes all that well, also not set out in a lunch type way where what you are really looking for is a one dish for lunch type of thing.That said, we went for a dish called Bibimbap as it seemed to be a one bowl dish of rice and other toppings. It was absolutely delicious!I will certainly go in again for the same.Stone bowl, heated so it arrives sizzling with rice, beef, carrot, cucumber, bean sprouts, a sweet chilli sauce and topped with a fried egg and a touch of sea weed.Amazing lunch bowl of deliciousness!They just need to sort their menu out so people know what they are ordering 😁.Would recommend.

Amazing food and exceptional service. We had the Korean BBQ which was a visual feast coupled with an explosion of flavours! Definitely revisiting soon 😍
