Lovely Sunday buffet, plenty of choice, and good value for money. Nann bread made fresh to order, which is great. Staff are really polite and friendly, would definitely recommend.

Booked a table of 4 for 7pm. When we arrived we could already see it was chaos. No one even acknowledged us for ages. When someone eventually saw to us he didn’t have a table ready for us as he had got our booking wrong. He asked us to wait outside for 10 minutes and promised us free drinks to apologise. Eventually after being sat down the service from start to finish was just generally poor. No one took our drinks orders for 10 minutes. When we ordered drinks and poppadoms it took us 20 minutes before we had to ask someone about ordering mains. We had the Sunday buffet menu advertised at £9.95 on their website. The selection was pretty poor despite a waiter telling us everything on the menu was available in the buffet. When helping myself to rice I found what looked like a dirty bath mat the container. Food quality was average at best. Very bland. Eventually after getting the bill we asked about why the buffet more then advertised, we were then told it was now £10.95. Even though there was no menu or prices for us to see. Even if the price was £10.95 the bill didn’t add up correctly. The staff member then tried going back on his offer of the drinks he promised us. The whole experience was awful. The restaurant cannot cater to the 10 tables it has room for. Will never go back

I went to spice master last night with my partner for dinner. We had incredibly high range of hospitality along with amazing foods. We really enjoyed a lot. I normally used to visit many others restaurants. However, I found spice master, which is situated in hilden drive, is one of the affordable and fully family friendly restaurantThank you guys for your welcoming manner. See you shortly

Went for mid-week (Wed) meal for £13. Starter was good - tikka salmon but told it would cost more, although not detailed on menu. Then picked veg balti, which was poor. Basically cabbage and not a great taste. Bombay Aloo was fantastic and mushroom bhaji goid; same for rice and naan. Bit disappointed.Staff friendly

Excellent service with good food. I have now eaten here three times and have not been disappointed. We tried the buffet, it was not as good as when the food is freshly made but was great value for money.

First time dining at the restaurant and must say the dining experience was top notch. The staff are really friendly, patient and helpful and the food was very tasty. We were given warm scented towels at the end of our meal to clean out hands and checked on from time to time to ensure we were okay. Real gem of a restaurant in Tilehurst. Thoroughly recommend 👏

Absolutely terrible. Got up numerous times to get Vege food during buffet. It was not kept full. Service was poor and rude staff. Food was not up to standard. Very oily. Naan bread undercooked.Edit**Thank you for your response to my review of your restaurant.Firstly Sir, if you think asking for a properly cooked naan bread and non oily food is offensive and rude, I apologise.Secondly, the fact we got up like musical chairs was down to the fact you had not kept the buffet full and was empty. You told us that a table had taken all the food from the freshly prepared batch. Thank you for that information but that was obvious. The fact that you only cooked for one table during a buffet is rather baffling.Lastly, your response to our apparent rudeness was to accept your staff were rude back? Thanks for showing everyone the type of business you run.Again, I do apologise for attending your restaurant. I can assure you this will not happen again. You probably want to remove your last comment unless you wanted to declare your food is substandard because we live in 'england and not india'.Thank you for your ridiculous response and showing everyone how not to treat a customer.Just a thought, a simple apology that you did not provide a service (food) would have sufficed. Was not expecting a michelin star service but just simple food and service would have been good. Shame I can't remove the 1 star I gave your restaurant.Best of luck.
