Taj Mahal in West Berkshire

went on 05/06/22 and it was extermely poor.we were the first two to arrive so we was rushed to a window seat to make it look busy, handed us the menu and wasn't interested in talking with us.others came in and they were sat down, told about the menu and told anything they wanted making then they would make it for them, even gave them extra large rice to make them happy meanwhile we sat ignored.ultimately we paid £59.15 for two people to be treated like we wasn't meant to be there.ultimate topping was when my partner asked for the desert menu and instead was handed the bill and told - its raining outside.overall poor service and poor food.

Tasty food and efficient service.Starters, mains, sides and deserts were all excellent. The price is slightly above the average but matched by the quality.

The best chicken tikka masala we have ever had. Truly authentic Indian cuisine. Oli the owner was a joy to speak with. If you do visit and meet Oli you will appreciate his sincerity.

I visited Taj of India on a Tuesday evening whilst visiting the area.The atmosphere was quite poor and the flickering lights were very off putting. The service was ok, but very robotic.The saving grace was the food that was absolutely fantastic. Three different curries were ordered by myself and friends and we were all over the moon with the flavours.Had this been a takeaway service, it would have been 5 stars, but the service and poor atmosphere whilst eating in means only 3 stars.

Random stay in Newbury and we fancied a curry.What can I say..... 5☆Food is devine, my man's favourite dish was not the menu Chicken Pathia and they made it for him which he said topped his favourite local indian ☆... staff are amazing. We will be returning regularly ☆ Mr & Mrs Jones ♡0☆☆☆☆☆

Very welcoming staff and a nice Indian restaurant, I felt the lighting could have been a bit softer it was a bit bright

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in. I had a 3 course meal, with a couple of beers. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Nice friendly waiters and the chef's special dish was lovely too. Would recommend anyone who enjoy Indian food.

Very nice kitchen with authentic kitchen. I'm not big fan of Indian kitchen, but it was a way better than whatever I can cook. Highly recommended this to anyone who is fascinating of Indian food (both meat and vegetarian option). This place is not cheap (starter + main + 2 x beers = ~ £30), but it is totally worth it.
