The Angel Inn in West Berkshire

Was recommended to visit this place for lunch by one of the locals as we were visiting from London for the weekend and staying up the road.We had sautéed mushrooms starter, beef Wellington and rib eye steak for mains.Absolutely fantastic food, well made, well presented and well eaten.Staff are very friendly and fitted us in without a booking.Would highly recommend this establishment for anyone visiting the area

Visited the Angel about a month ago. We didn't have a booking but the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was amazing and so was the service. I went for the roast lamb and it was the best, they were the nicest roast potatoes ever. Cannot wait to return!

Really lovely pub with really friendly staff! Went in for just a drink not having booked a table and everyone was very accommodating. Ended up staying for dinner as there were some last minute cancellations. Nice selection of drinks and dishes. The linguini was really good, but the roast wasn't really that remarkable. Very cozy atmosphere, definitely going back!

Recently ate there and I was very happy with my meal - I had beef wellington amd it was perfectly cooked. The only thing I would note is that the prices are a little high for some menu items at what us basically a pub, I haven't marked down though because the value of choice was very good.

Visited today for our ore booked afternoon tea and wow very impressive!!! Generous portions of everything none of this silly fancy cakes good whole slices of cake brilliant. Highly recommended

The venue is great, friendly staff. The portion sizes were good and the desserts were nice. We ordered the roast, which was a huge disappointment. All 3 types of meats were very dry and over cooked. It's a nice place for a drink or dessert!

Great place to eat, and the staff looked after us perfectly. I have no hesitation to recommend eating here and will be back soon.
