Great old country pub. Literally one of the best. Be prepared and accept the fact you will queue for drinks and food and you will enjoy it.

Very cute historic pub. The inside is TINY but there is a really nice large garden area out the back so its a perfect spot for a beer after a walk in the countryside! Prices are really good too.

Have to go there and experience! very different to what Pubs have become. The sense of community is great and the beer is always very well looked after 👌

·

Traditional Pub Good beer and pretty garden. Only rolls to eat but they are generous, fresh and well made

·

Traditional pub that has stayed traditional (they have modernised a little with contactless payments). Well kept beer and hot, crusty rolls to die for.

·

Great welcome ales and filled rolls. Perfect pit stop and opportunity to wash down the mud Remember to take cash as only cash and cheques accepted.

·

A remarkable pub. Has won many pub of the year awards and you can see why. Food very basic - a wide variety of different filled rolls - but very tasty. Beer excellent. Dark Mild was extremely tasty and bitter excellent. Small, ancient interior and spacious beer garden in beautiful surroundings. Gents toilets might be described as... antique. Overall the sort of unspoiled gem that attracts people from miles around.

The landlord was very friendly and welcoming. And the famous cheese roll was so tasty and satisfying !
