The Best Fry Burdwood in West Berkshire

Awful food chicken burger had no lettuce and I wasnt even asked how I wanted it . Chips r like cardboard and sausage wasn't great either . Really bad customer service rude and abrupt

I’m sorry to need to write this review, but I’ve had chips from here a few times over the past couple weeks, and the chips have been ok but not brilliant, but then today I got a portion of chips and I asked if they were fresh and I was told yes and offered to view them, now I had my doubts but didn’t feel free to speak up, so I took them and it was a mixed bag (box) none were fresh but more likely the back of the drawer, some looked re cooked but overall edible minus the ones I picked out and threw into the bin. Had the chips been freshly cooked I would probably give 4 maybe even 5 stars, but sadly I can’t give more than 2 stars. Hopefully things will improve. Please stop selling old reheated chips! Fresh next time please

Terrible chips, like cardboard! Fresh cod at least.I know it's all about timing but your'e much better off throwing away old chips and cooking fresh to keep your customers. Unfortunately you have lost this one unless you change your policy.

Just had fish and chips and battered sausage ,fish and battered sausage really good but the chips were terrible struggled to get my fork in them obviously they were not cooked fresh tonight .

Popped in to get some fish and chips for lunch on a Saturday. The fish was cooked fresh and was very good, however the chips were not very nice at all. They tasted like they had been reheated from the day before.

Under new ownership and worth avoiding. The worst over cooked chips I have ever eaten.

Perfectly cooked and crispy fish and chips. Not greasy and the sturdy cardboard box meant I hope eat them en route to Waterside Park. I am glad this business has reopened with friendly owners and it's location should be ideal.

Do not normally post reviews but cod bites this evening were absolutely delicious! So glad that the shop has opened again!

Glad this place has new owners as it is so good again!The chips were so fresh and nice! I will definitely be a regular now!
