The Blue Ball in West Berkshire

Lovely pub, perfect at the end of a long walk up the river from Hungerford.

On our narrowboat looking for a proper local pub and found the Blue Ball. Under new management (Lisa) for just a few weeks but already just what we wanted. Friendly staff and locals. Great pizza. Recommended.

Lovely pub with great food. Really good Sunday lunch.

What a lovely little place. We visited as a small party out of curiosity following recent closure for a meal.The new owners couldn't have done more for us if they tried. Absolutely nothing was too much of a problem and the young lad serving was exceptional. We later learnt he was completely new to the job.Less than a week of being open and having numerous obstacles put in the way this place is going to only get better by the day.Ten out of ten and we will definitely be frequent visitors

Under new management. Dropped in for a pint and had a chat with the new managers. Will go back for a meal. This place was only open some evenings. Good to see the new managers are going to open up 7 days a week.

Great atmosphere, great beer and great food (the chips are probably the best I've ever had) I can't recommend this cozy but lively little country pub enough.

Quality food, interesting and diverse menu (chips were as good as I've ever had) friendly staff, trad English country pub, didn't investigate the Beer on this occasion. Definitely would come here again.
