A lovely pub. Fairly modern. Comfy chairs. Sofas too to relax on. This pub is very dog friendly. There were alot of dogs on the pub today. Our visit was affected negatively by a dog barking quite alot. Plenty of parking.

Wanted to try something different than the nearby hotel where I was staying. Admittedly this is the first time I've had fish pie and it did not disappoint. Staff was friendly and prompt. Will definitely visit again when I return to the area.

Had a really lovely family lunch on Saturday after we booked online a couple of days ahead. We thought the food was delicious and home cooked (all gluten free too). The beef stroganoff was very tasty with tender meat, the ribs were meaty, an awesome Cumberland sausage with mash and gravy, and the fish goujons on the children's menu had the most incredible batter. I'd try the fish and chips next time for sure!Puddings were all great too, and the staff were welcoming and inviting. Well worth a visit, we'll be back for sure.

Booked very last minute and managed to accommodate a party of 7 with no issues. Staff super friendly and great menu choices. Highly recommended if you're in the area. We will be back.

Terrible experience, unacceptable amount (50mins) of time waiting for food with children, only to be told they'd had an accident with one of the meals, which further delayed all the meals to the table. Only saving grace: the staff were friendly and dealt with the issue well and were very apologetic. Otherwise it would have been 1 star.

Lovely pub, great staff, good food and a great selection of beer. If you just want a quick pint or a nice meal this is a lovely pub to go to. `If you like craft ales try the Beaverton Neck Oil, not only is it a lovely craft beer it comes in the coolest pint glass I have ever seen!

A very warm welcome and a good range of drinks. Nice to be able to take on our dogs. We met up as a family for Christmas so a large group with kids and had a buffet. A bit let down by the cost of the buffet per head vs the amount and selection of food. The plates were so small you couldn’t have more than two small sandwiches at a time! We’d suggest not charging £12 + per head (£350 for our party for just food) and setting lower expectations. And supplying bigger plates!

Excellent pub to eat or chill. Very well decorated and has a nice sofa corner to relax in. Good menu choices and friendly staff. Service was quick and food was top quality and reasonably priced. The set menu is good value. Plenty of parking, or if busy you can park over the road .Went there again recently, service and food still at good quality.

What a lovely pub, staff were really welcoming and helpful. The entire menu is gluten free and there were dairy free options as well such a rare find. I had the fish and chips which was delicious. Will certainly go again.

Amazing! Popped in for a cheeky bit of lunch as we were passing through and stopped to see the castle. The staff were friendly and welcoming from our arrival, and were keen to make sure we were well looked after. The food was served promptly and of a very high standard and was great value for money. Highly recommended if you are in the area!
