Slow service and poor food. We ordered a range of meals, none of which were cooked well. By the time we had finished the children and adults were very restless and disinclined to stop and discuss the meal. If someone had bothered to ask how our food was we would have said. We had booked for 12 but the doors were still locked when we arrived. It was not busy with customers for food or drinks. I emailed my comments, but got no reply.

Lovely little pub.We only had a couple of drinks, but we saw some food come out and it looked great. 👍

Lovely little place for a sunday lunch after a walk in the Sulham Woods. Dog friendly in the bar area (which can NOT be booked). Nice food, friendly and helpful staff, free wifi etc.

A really convenient pub for a stop between junctions 12 and 13 of the M4. Had a great Sunday Lunch here. Really well presented and tasty and an excellent pint of Pride. Friendly staff too.

We stopped for a fresh pint in the sun after a long bike ride. Nice little space out the front for few beers watching cars go by. Food smelt great.

I am afraid to say i was extremely disapointed with this visit. My wife and i took our mothers here for a lunchtime meal for mothers day, both mothers ordered the sausage and mash, i had the ribeye steak and my wife had the fish and chips. Whilst the food was okay the service was lacking, it felt like they did not really want us to be there and it was quite a while before our food arrived. Then a young man was escorted to a table in the corner behind us and was joined by what i imagine was the manager and they proceeded to conduct a job interview and they were quite loud which was very distracting.

We enjoyed a pot of tea in comfortable surroundings in the evening. Looking at the menu, I think we'll be tempted to try one of the "specials" evenings. Enjoyed the open fire too!

We stopped here whilst walking in the area and were incredibly impressed by the delicious food and very friendly service. The roast dinners were well portioned and tasty.

Lovely country pub with good quality, rustic pub food, nice friendly servers and a beautiful location.I stopped here on the way back from playing tennis in Pangbourne. The building is lovely and has a thatched roof and sits in front of a village green with benches for people to sit outside on the green with a drink if they want. It has outdoor seating at the front and back in a little patio or garden. The servers were really smiley and friendly- it really is so simple to run a pub well!
