Amazing place for food and a drink. Dog friendly. Even gave a bed for the dogs and treats. Amazing service with a friendly attitude. The food was unreal. The pasta was better than famous Italian restaurants back home. Would recommend a visit here!

From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted with a friendly welcome straight away. Drinks supplied immediately and shown to our lovely table. The food was absolutely delicious, the best roast beef I’ve had in ages and the most amazing roast potatoes. Service was so friendly and efficient especially Charlotte. A delightful birthday meal and we will definitely be back very soon Thank you.

Called in with my elderly inlaws to see if they had a table for 4 for Sunday lunch. They were very busy and fully booked. Managed to fit us in between bookings. Food was amazing, service superb. They could not have nicer or more accomadating. Will definitely be going back there again. But will book this time

Pit stop on the way home after a wet morning in Newbury. Real fire, happy smiling staff and a warm welcome from the manager. Crab and prawn mac n cheese starter was fantastic. Real crab flakes and plenty of prawns. High recommended stop with large parking area. Best to book weekends but we were taken good care of on passing by.

New owners have done a great job under exceptionally difficult times. Great staff, different menu to any other pub. Duck leg to die for and very posh doughnuts.

Great venue for our 3 generational family birthday lunch. Staff all warm and friendly (without over intrusion). Genuinely superb venue and delicious food with a real individual touch - high quality without being pretentious in presentation. Thank you

Dissappointed. Lovely place and lovely staff but the food wasn't very good. It all sounds so lovely on the menu. The food was very bland and the presentation was awful. For instance, the steak burger (certainly wasn't home made) was literally served on the plate on its own. Not even a handful of rocket or some relish to make it look better.Expensive too considering.Judging by the other reviews, maybe they were having a bad night or they have a new chef. All in all, I doubt we'll go back.

We visited again today (18/01/21).The food is still amazing! Burgers for all three of us. We all had a latte to drink and said it was one of the best we've ever had.The staff are so lovely. From the moment you go through the door you receive such a warm welcome (nick you are fab) The waitresses all said hello straight away, and smiling. Nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for being amazing again.Another lovely lunch today. The owner is so welcoming. The staff are very nice and efficient. The food is fantastic. The whole pub is beautiful and very clean. Can't for our next visit. Thank you all.

My family of 10 had an absolutely wonderful Xmas Day lunch here. The food was fantastic - the staff were brilliant - the management were excellent. From arrival to departure the attentive staff wentout of their way to make our experience one to remember. Thank you and I look forward to visiting again soon.

Made a pit stop at this place, after finding on route via Google Maps. Lovely staff who were really friendly. Great menu with enough choice to satisfy various tastes. We went with a pigeon lasagne to share, which came with chunky garlic bread and some of the best chips I’ve eaten in a while! lovely beer garden, although was raining when we arrived and plenty of parkingHighly recommend if you’re in the area
