There is nothing not to like about this place. Lovely room - very clean. Good team working in the bar - friendly staff - good selection of beers - food extremely good. Even the regulars at the bar are chatty. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend.

Located in a typical quaint English village 55 miles from Southampton and the ferry port to the IOWOff the beaten track but well worth a visit as the Inn is welcoming friendly and the staff are genuinely efficient professional and warm. The room was spacious and well furnished with en-suite shower facilities. The evening menu is small but the food available was good and tasty.Breakfast was lovely and set us up for the day.Ample free parking and a beer garden so you can enjoy a beer (or three) in the sun.Would highly recommend you try this Inn as it’s definitely value for your £

Amazing hidden gem! Perfect country pub with a limited yet delicious menu. We had the burger and definitely one of the best meals we have had in ages! Tasty and worth the drive!

Had a delicious Sunday roast with my sister and daughter. The staff were friendly and were considerate towards my gluten free and my daughter's vegetarian diet giving lots of helpful advise. Wine was good. Prices reasonable.

Quiet village location. On balance, deserves five stars for the welcome and the offer to store some of our bikes (I arrived in a group of seven) in their store room both for security and to make space for customers wanting to use the patio. Spacious, recently decorated dining area. All the dishes the group selected were well presented, although there was not a great selection of vegetarian food which I personally would have welcomed.

This place is exceptional. Staff are very friendly without being intrusive. The menu is small but with something for everyone. Food was delicious: well cooked and good ingredients. Portions are generous and the puddings are a must. The pesto linguine was superb and the chocolate brownie a melt in the mouth explosion of cocoa. We were the only ones booked but I guess for twixt Xmas and new year that is not unusual. Will definitely return.

We stayed here for one night and wished it could have been longer. Nathan and his staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The breakfast was excellent and it was all extremely good value for money. We also enjoyed a very good evening meal at The Ibex, washed down with a good pint of beer.

Simply excellent! Was fortunate enough to find this place whilst on a business trip in July and was so impressed that booked in August for a long weekend break with my wife as I knew it would be up to the wife’s standard. Luxurious rooms sat above a fine village pub with a decent Chef naturally. There’s an interesting converted stable to stay in that was used by Desert Orchid. 10/10 all round winner this place. A must for all walks of life. Quiet and extremely comfortable & clean
