Our party of 6 was well looked after in every respect. This was a double birthday plus anniversary celebration. The staff were friendly, the atmosphere excellent and the food fantastic. Will visit again. Suggest you book as we went on a Monday and it was packed. Just superb!

Not quite sure what the hype is. Sardines and garlic mushrooms for starters, it was just barely OK. Sardines weren't cooked traditionally.Veal and filet of pork in mushroom sauce for mains...again, mediocre.Ross Degli Scudi wine was just on the edge of being tasty. Not worth £40, stick to house wine.Skipped dessert. Won't be back.

We popped in by chance and were warmly greeted and shown to a table immediately. If I didn't know better, I would swear this was a little slice of Italy. The food is melt in the mouth and super fresh! Whilst eating many locals popped in and were greeted by name. That is always a big thumb's up for me! Definitely earned their 5⭐

If your skin is not white and do not support racism, I will recommend you take your money elsewhere. We made a reservation few days in advance, and the booking was confirmed. We arrived there, 7.30pm, queued like everyone there on New year's eve, and when it was our turn, I am non white and my partner is white, the booking was under my name, I have a highly respected job and can afford to pay in any restaurant, a white male with a hairy face saw me and decided to show us upstairs, a place with few undressed table, there was a young family with 2 kids, bless them they looked exhausted, and in jeans. While downstairs the tables were all dressed and looked very festive. Well I understood very well what the hairy faced man did and I was simply uncomfortable to stay a minutes longer, we didn't want to pay any of our money to this rude boy, so politely we went downstairs and told him that we had to go. Meanwhile downstairs it was looking very festive and with music. He understood also why we didn't want to stay because I told him AND he wasn't bothered to correct. By the way everyone that was on the queue was sitted downstairs. This is a typical racist situation. So if your skin is not white or are disgusted by racism, I wouldn't advise to spend your money here. Let's see how long the restaurant last. I have been busy just had time to write a review to avoid anyone else having to experience this atrocities of being discriminated for your skin color, religion, sex,... Millions of people have suffered enough because of discrimination and it should not be allowed or have a place in a modern society today.

Was recommended Brothertons by some friends and it did not disappoint! Very friendly and lovely staff, food was amazing! You have to get the tiramisu - was so good! Atmosphere was really nice, felt like we were in an authentic italian restaurant. Highly recommend 😊

Loved the restaurant and the service. We did have some issues with food but it was rectified straight way. It wouldn't stop me from eating their again.

We were in Woodstock for one night as visiting Blenheim Palace. Absolutely wonderful evening here, really friendly staff, great service, charismatic owner, beautiful food. A really great atmosphere, if we were in the area again we would definitely eat here again.

After a fantastic day at Blenheim Palace I really wanted somenthing quickly to go with a chilled Beer... I looked around I saw Writen Cucina Italiana.... I loveloveee Italian cuisine! So I tried my luck if they have a table for one... they reply with a smile and even offered choices including outdoor... very nice ambiance...vintage and candles...very warm place...unfortunately I had to catch a train so I couldn't enjoy more the 30 min. Had a delicious cotidiana pizza with A Moretti... Thank youu!

Had a really poor experience here. We were seated outside as we hadn’t booked and it was busy which was absolutely no problem, there was a heater for the table to keep us warm. We weren’t served for a while but eventually a waitress came and apologised for that and took our drinks order. From then on, we were sadly ignored as couples sat outside after we arrived were either offered a seat inside as it got quieter or they ordered and received their food. After half an hour I went inside and asked to be served. The manager then came out and blamed us for taking a table outside, rather than apologising. Still, after this the service was poor, with us not getting cutlery when food arrived or our plates cleared well after we had finished. The food itself didn’t taste fresh, my bruschetta was served on sandwich bread and the pizza toppings were cheap, low quality cheese and pepperoni. When we did pay, the manager was clearly irritated at us but we had done nothing to merit his hostility, my wife and I were perfectly polite having both worked in bars and restaurants and know how hard that can be. Was a shame as that was one of the last meals on our honeymoon round England.
