Roo. Was small and very tired. What looked like public hair in bed and bath.Bathroom filthy, blinds have never been cleaned, bath hand grab not attached and fell into bath when trying to use it. bottle top found on floor by the bed. Later in the bar I noticed lipstick stain on my glass after I had drank from it. The room was priced at £152! This was at least halved after acknowledging our complaint.

What a disappointment! We were looking forward to a nice traditional English roast lunch in this picturesque location, beautiful surroundings but terrible food. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and burnt, vegetables inedible, roast potatoes too dry. The meat and gravey saved the day.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Cotswold Gateway, staff could not have been helpful, friendly or accomodating. Breakfast was fantastic! So many quality options including vegetarian and alternative milks, all tasted and looked amazing, Rooms were lovely and quaint and clean and daily water bottles were much appreciated. Bar and common areas were very cosy and all the charms of the Cotswolds. Location was ideal to walk down the hill to Burford and very close proximity to other Cotswold Sites such as the Wildlife Park & Bourton-on-Water etc... Ample spacious and free parking was much appreciated. I would come here again and I would recommend. The only things to not give a full marks review were the following: WiFi is not strong in the rooms, we found dinner to be a little overpriced, bathrooms do not have a mixer tap which means you have to be careful with the hot water. These are very small points to what was a great stay with fab staff.

We loved the country setting. The exterior could be cleaned up a bit more, but overall it was a nice place with a clean room. Very good breakfast and friendly staff as well.

Really disappointing lunch. We met family here for a Sunday roast (total of 5 adults), food was ok but Yorkshire puddings were burnt. However, the service was abysmal - we had to go to the bar to get any service when it's table service. It took 30 mins to put our order in, and a further 20 mins for a couple glasses of wine and soft drinks which we had to collect from the bar as they'd been sitting there for 5 mins. They swapped out the glasses of wine for more expensive versions (and didn't tell us), plus served large glasses of wine when we ordered small. We spoke to the staff about this when we received the bill (we had to go to the bar as we waited 25-30 mins for someone to come to the table) to be told we'd drunk the wine so we had to pay. It was really appalling service, which is such a shame as we were really looking forward to eating here and it's a great location for us to meet family.

We are a family of five people and we came in on Sunday without booking after being turned down by other two pubs in Burford… THE BEST service, quality food, will definitely return!

Super helpful staff, great food and drink, comfortable room and all in an Historic Coaching Inn - now part of Butcombe where Card holders enjoy a 25% discount on food on a Wednesday. We thoroughly enjoyed out stay and have no hesitation in in recommending i.

Absolutely amazing! Can't fault this beautiful place, both as B&B and pub/restaurant. The most dog friendly place I have ever been to, my dog didn't want to leave :) There's some treats available, maybe that's why 🤭Room - very comfortable, good size and well equipped. Little extras like essential oils toiletries and complimentary bottles of water and coffe/tea. It's next to quite busy road, so if you are a light sleeper you could potentially be disturb by this. But the quality of this place make up for it! Staff SUPER NICE!Food! Absolutely gorgeous. Locally sourced products and it puts the quality of the dishes really high. It's so convenient as well to have such a great/dog friendly pub next door.I literally can't wait to be back!Big thanks to the whole team!

Great little hotel for a getaway to the Cotswolds. Great location. The rooms are quite large and well kept, clean, and beds are very comfy. Bathroom and toilet are decent. Decor a little outdated but no real issue with that. Downstairs the dining area is cosy and the food was good. The staff and chef were very accommodating of my baby and prepared specific food which was not on the menu for us. Definitely will visit again on my next trip there.
