La Galleria in West Oxfordshire

A great experience. We had a delicious meal last evening. In particular, pork medallions in a ginger , honey and chilli sauce and the duck. The vegetables were also very well cooked.Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

It was ok for the more part, but just ok. The big issue was that the fries, fried potatoes and sauté potatoes (we tried all three in desperation) seemed to be just boiled potatoes with oil on them. Yes it’s a side, but it’s a very important side to get right. Sent back twice but they still came back the same. It’s a shame as this is so easy to get right with very little skill/effort.

Perhaps the best Italian restaurant I have visited. The menu has a wide choice of excellent food and the staff were welcoming and kind. The malloreddus alla campidanese which I had as a starter was exquisite, for mains I had the sea bass which tasted lovely. The hand crafted French fries were an excellent addition to the meal. 5 star food and service, would definitely return.

Has a fabulous lunch at La Galleria. Enjoyed so much we have booked for an evening meal. Delicious food, wonderful flavours. Great service.

We decided to have lunch at La Galleria as we are looking for a post-wedding venue. Not only was the food delicious (beautiful fillet of sea bream), but the service was exemplary. Lucio and his team are exactly who we want to look after us on our wedding day. Grazie mille!

This is my first ever 1 star review. I’ve never been charged even close to £5 for a HALF PINT of beer, we asked if it was a mistake on the bill but they proudly said no, very upset we ordered two each. Rushed out so they could close after lunch. Hideously overpriced very average tasting starters. Linguini was nice though.

What a find! This is a wonderful Italian restaurant using the freshest local ingredients. The food was absolutely delicious and served promptly and courteously. This place has to be a must if you are coming to Woodstock. Lucio, the owner, is a fountain of local knowledge having established the restaurant many years ago. He made time chat to us and made us feel so welcome. Do try the filet beef medallions with cream and mushrooms- melt in the mouth! My wife had the lemon chicken which she loved.

Very authentic Italian food! Ordered the crab linguine and beef medellion- would recommend!

We booked a Sunday evening , initially very well received.Avocado and crab arrived but no Avocado it was too mushyWe ordered main meal , the sirloin steak was 50 % inedible sheets of gristle such a shame .They were very visible and should not have been served upThey said it was usual with Sirloin .Hm HmIt arrived sliced with volumes of rocket over and shaving of Parmesan .No apologies no refund 20 minutes to get the bill as they were more interested in new customers a very poor show , will not be going back, you have been warned .

Lovely little Italian restaurant with a lovey menu with food to suit all tastes. Had some great specials on when we went too, staff were friendly and attentive and made you feel welcome. Highly recommend it. Has some outside seating as well which would be nice however the weather wasn’t quite good enough for us! Hope to go back!
