Restaurant at Merrymouth Inn in West Oxfordshire

Excellent Sunday roast; chicken and belly pork were delicious! Reasonable (for a remote location) costs, £20 per head. No booking required, as was passing.

Just popped in for a Sunday roast which was excellent. Lovely relaxed atmosphere, airy dining room/bar and outside area if preferred, gorgeous food and friendly staff. Will definitely be going back.

Beautiful setting, lovely hotel, great food and helpful staff.I stayed at The Merrymouth Inn with family for a weekend getaway. Lovely Inn with great mix of modern and old. The rooms were really lovely and the hotel area had a really great feel about it. Food was fab and staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. We visited Bourton on the Water just 2 miles away and Broadway Tower. We also took the kids to Cotswold wildlife park which was better than we had imagined. Sadly we only stayed 2 nights but will be back again in the summer. Thankyou all for making us so welcome. Good luck Sue and family"

What a great place to stay for a riding and hiking weekend in the Cotswolds, a beautiful, clean recently renovated coaching inn. We had a room with a king sized bed and a bathroom with large shower, the surroundings and decor were lovely. The home-made food and drink offering was second to none and the Inn owners and staff were fantastic. They made us feel welcome and we’re great to speak to treating us like friends and not just guests. The location is central to most of the local towns and villages such as Stow, Burford and Bourton-on-the-water with plenty to see without driving for miles. We will definitely be going back and would certainly recommend The Merrymouth Inn to others.

The Merrymouth inn is a very nice place to stay very clean and welcoming nice polite staff and owners. Nothing too much trouble The food is also very good.I would highly recommend this place.You won't be disappointed. Del and Jan Harper.

I came here about a week ago. Just before opening time, the landlord was very polite and let me in gave me a good coffee and early lunch.. it was very clean with lots of room

Friendly welcoming staff. The family that own the place are present and ensure good service. Food is good plentiful pub grub at a good price. Plenty of parking and fresh decor

HIGHLY recommend the inn for stay and food! Such nice host that take personal care of all your needs and the chef is incredibly good. Even if you miss out on their wonderful hospitality, stop by for the food. This place and the people that run it made my Cotswolds trip!!

We went here on a Saturday lunch time. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, very happy to tailor any items that they have on the menu to cater for what we wanted. (my daughter asked for plain cheesy pasta....and that was met with warmth and kindness.....and cheesy pasta she had!) They are dog friendly. The food was incredible (highly recommend the pies!) great value and a lovely clean bright atmosphere, even on a rainy day! Will definitely be returning!

We stayed here in August shortly after it opened and had a wonderful stay. So much so that we returned again this weekend. What great weather for October. Beautiful place with all new fittings great shower, room and quality comfortable bedsBreakfast was great for us with fruit salad pastries cereals yogurts, poached eggs and toast. They even cooked us a bacon sandwich to take with us on our trip to BlenheimEasy reach of everything 5 - 10 minutes from Bourton on the water, Stow on the wold and Burford. Good pub food, Lovely courtyard seating area with lights hanging from the trees and lovely bar area and restaurant. We had some very nice evening meals and the specials menu changed each night. We particularly enjoyed the locally sourced Chicken and Hock pies. Can't fault the place will 100% be returning next year.
