Restaurant at the Bull at Burford Hotel in West Oxfordshire

I thought it wasn't as fabulous as it thought! Our superior room wasn't great. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the bed was small. The toilet was dirty. The room was boiling and so noisy all day and night from traffic and a generator. There was no fridge. The food was nice enough but service really slow. Far too expensive for what you actually get.

Great hotel we had a quirky room in the eaves but it was full of character. Staff were very attentive without being over the top. Thoroughly recommend staying here and a great breakfast too.

Nice enough hotel with plenty of character and charm but the bar lacks atmosphere and I didn't rate the breakfast. You ordered whichever eggs you wanted, which was then cooked but the bacon, sausage, tomato etc was not kept very warm and not replenished often enough

Good location in Burford. Nice bar. Currently no restaurant but will let you bring a take away back. Dogs are welcome. This is a very old building so every thing creaks and squeaks. Which does cause some dogs to bark. They do have a small carport out the back but it is small and inconsiderate users make it difficult to use. We would stay there again with the dog.

Lovely little place to stay. , rooms we’re. Clean tidy , beds comfy , no noise , the manager was funny helpful and great at doing all the jobs intended by him , breakfast was good , healthy options of home made granola was amazing , I did purchase a bag , bit pricey at 18.50 but well worth every mouthful, and the best thing ever as never found b 4 in hotel the ear plugs in room ,

Staying here on 2 night Groupon voucher. Very impressed, staff extremely helpful and pleasant can't fault anything. Evening meal and breakfast exceptional presentated well and delicious. Elderly parents in court yard room which is very impressive and well equipped for disabled. Superior room excellent would definitely recommend and return.

Chocolate box beauty in this village, every old rickety building compliments the others, so much to see and take in. Steeped in history and lovely little independent shops. The Bull was equally impressive from walking in to checking out. A really good down to earth and hospitable hotel, could not fault the room, overall cleanliness or service, will definitely be back.

Excellent location on a beautiful street. The rooms are old fashioned, but they are clean and tidy and have everything you need. The food is decent and the portions sizes are large. A few more options and maybe a specials menu would improve the dinner. The breakfast was very nice, a lovely spread with many different options.

This was an excellent hotel, we went there for a family celebration and nothing was too much trouble for the staff to organise, we were given a private lounge for our 2 day stay which we could use whenever we needed it. The breakfast is excellent with a large choice of food on offer, from fresh fruit and berries to cereals or full English breakfast if you wanted that. My only warning would be this is a very old building do the doorways are quite low and some of the floors are a bit uneven. This hotel is very well placed in the middle of the Cotswolds so would make a good base for sight seeing the surrounding areas

A lovely hotel with a great atmosphere. Very old with wonderful creaking floors and old beams. The room was comfortable with power points near the mirror , plenty of storage and well equipped. The food was delicious and breakfast was a treat, so much to choose from. But the best thing about staying here was the cheerful and helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I hope I get the opportunity to visit again. Burford is a lovely place with individual shops and is central for touring.
