The Angel at Burford in West Oxfordshire

We went there for the Dinner on Mother's day and it was really great. Food was excellent, we all loved it. Service was very good apart from clearing the empty glasses, so after a while the table was a bit overloaded but this was the only thing, i wouldn't call it a downside. The Rest was brilliant. Definitely recommend it and we will come back.

Great food, with friendly, fun and helpful service.Came for Sunday lunch and had a lovely time. The food was tasty and well cooked from good produce. The service was spot on from a team who were funny and engaged, but also quick courteous and efficient. We had three courses, drinks and coffees and it was very reasonably priced. The place was also full all the time we were there. The Angel has a well earned reputation for Sunday lunch so I’d urge you to book ahead

Lovely pub. Stopped there for a quick lunch and had a starter with a drink. Great menu, linen napkins, attentive service. Was reasonably full even on a Monday lunch time

Great place to meet and have a beer, wine with friends. Just been there with friends who stayed for my son's wedding and they say great food and drink to be had by all, breakfast was excellent.

Stopped here for lunch and had the most delicious food! The portion sizes were great, good atmosphere and friendly service. Dog friendly too.

Lovely, cosy place in a beautiful little village. Delicious food, great wine list, super friendly and exceptionally efficient service. Would highly recommend.

Visited The Angel at Burford Saturday afternoon.I had never visited any pubs in Burford before, despite being local to Oxfordshire. However I had done my research, and saw this pub had some great reviews.I was not disappointed, had such a warm welcome from the man behind the bar (who I assume was the manager) and in fact all the waitresses also. The vibe was perfect - Old, cosy, warm, fire place country pub, but perfectly modern where you want it to be. Decor was beautiful and their attention to detail was lovely.We had some nibbles - White Bait, Chips and Pickled Cabbage Salad - was so good!If I was to go back to any pub in Burford it would be this one. However I felt it could have done with more of a pub/bar area with relaxed seating. If you are popping in just for a drink, it can feel very 'dining'.

My partner & l recently stayed at this lovely place. Our room was perfect, comfortable bed, coffee pod, fresh water, plenty of tea choices.Breakfast was fabulous, sitting next to a lovely wood burner.Staff were really helpful and friendly, we both felt very chilled. Will be going back soon and will dine in as the food looked amazing.Thank you.

Great pub, my wife and I popped in for dinner and both thought it was very good. We both had the steak with chips and a pepper corn sauce and both said it's one of the best steaks we've had in a long time. The service was warm and very friendly and we didn't have to wait to long for our food. Well worth a try if you're in Burford and we will be going back when we are in Burford next.

Absolutely fabulous! We stayed overnight and had dinner too. Staff were amazing so friendly and helpful, the room was a really good size with great facilities. Food was lovely highly recommended, breakfast was good too! The perfect spot for visiting Burford and great value will definitely return!
