Went for Sunday lunch, it was a carvery with a good selection of roasts and veg. The food was average. However we did feel rushed as they have more than one sitting, and we were seated by an entrance door which banged loudly every time it was used. Very irritating and quite spoilt our experience. The restaurant seems very family friendly with a playground for kids, however we won't be back.

Had Easter carvery and it was really scrumptious, hot and tasty. Although the set up could have been better as roo many patrons gathered around the service area trying to get the vegetables and condiments. Staff were lovely and the premises was really clean and lovely oldie worldie and looking forward to visiting again.

Wow what a gem! We travelled 4hours to visit a local attraction and found this place for some food. The food was amazing quality and well priced, the sun was out so the children had a lovely time playing in the huge garden out the back with great facilities. The lady working this afternoon was so smiley, friendly and helpful, thank you!

It's a great place. Really friendly staff, and reliably delicious food. A mix of straightforward pub grub and some fancier specials. Great garden and kid-friendly inside space.

We usually bring my husbands great grandmother here for lunch when we visit and we’re never disappointed. The staff are always lovely and provide great service. The food is delicious, good value and comes out quickly. It’s always one of the the highlights of our trip!

My first impression on parking up was "hmm" but how wrong I was. This isn't somewhere to go for fine dining but if you want lunch with the family (of four in our case), friendly service and a very reasonable bill at the end, it's great. I recommend the club sandwich plus chips and slaw. Yum.

The Chequers has improved from the last time I was there. The inside of the pub is looking really nice. The service was alot better aswell. The food was delicious. Had the Sunday roast and I would definitely have it again. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to trying other food off their menu. The only downside was we were sat near the door and it started to get abit cold. Other than that it was somewhere I'll be going again.

Absolutely Brilliant Service. I was with a party of 25 who descended on the place without giving prior notice. In an already busy Gastro Pub the now stretched staff took it all in their stride, maintaining a professional, friendly and welcoming service. All were more than pleased with the standard of food too!

A good pub with great friendly staff, had a "Chequers Burger " from their menu for something to eat and absolutely loved it ! Just the right amount of fresh chilli in with the burger. One of the best burgers I think I've ever had ! Good value as well. Will be back again !

First visit here and took the grandchildren aged 3 and 2. They loved the garden and play equipment! The food was lovely - salmon cooked perfectly - and staff friendly with quick service. There are separate menus for children and for vegetarians. I was impressed that the baby changing room toilet had a child size toilet seat on top of the normal one! So this is a very child friendly pub. Well done to all the staff here, very impressed, we will be back!
