The Clanfield Tavern in West Oxfordshire

Thank you so much for a great afternoon. The staff are so friendly from start to finish. We booked very late for 15 people and the lady on the phone took it in her stride and said we don't like to say no.The food was great the pub is very pleasant. If I did not live 1,5 hours away I would love it as a local.

Nice atmosphere, staff really friendly, good good, and good portions

Very pleasantly surprised. Saw the online menu, and then heart sank when the physical menu was handed out as it read and looked like the complete opposite to the website.However, the food was very tasty and well presented and they were very welcoming of Tom Dog too.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and tge food was so tasty, hot and so so good. They had a lovely room just for children to play in, crammed packed with toys and games.

Amazing venue. Went there for a midweek roast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Roast was delicious, veggies crunchy, sauce perfectly seasoned. Was certainly a positive surprise on our way through town.

It could do with brightening up a bit and it wasn't as warm as it should have been, also the tables were clean but sticky. That said the service was great and the staff very welcoming. Importantly the food was really good.

Food was tasty very friendly staff ,lovely atmosphere in the pub will definitely return.

One of the best meals I have ever had.The service was excellent, very attentive and the food was served very quickly.All the courses were presented beautifully, tasted wonderful, and were very generous portions. The price was also very reasonable.I started with a cheese souffle with candied pecans which I thought sounded a little different, and it was, but wonderful.I then had a homemade chicken and leek pie with mash and garden vegetables which was just as good as the first course and I finished with elderflower panna cotta with rhubarb and home made lavender shortbread, again the flavours were incredible.My description doesn't do it justice, you have got to try for yourself.Many thanks for a superb lunch, a great way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.David

A lovely warm and inviting pub. The staff upon arrival and during our evening were exceptional. The food was excellent, prices reasonable and a lovely evening we’ve had. Definitely recommend bad would be happy to return 😀
