The Fox Hotel in West Oxfordshire

A bit disappointed really. We'd been told the food would be outstanding but we were rather underwhelmed by whatever had. I suppose having to wait 40 mins for the food to arrive didn't help matters. Would we recommend it? No, not really. It may be we caught them on a bad night but there are lots of very nice eateries in the town to choose from so I'd recommend trying elsewhere

Lovely pub/hotel to stay. Bed very comfortable. Staff awesome, very helpful and good natured, especially Lauren, (thank you). The food, well worth the short wait for fresh cooked excellent food. I’m Gluten free and I was very well looked after. The gluten free fish and chips was divine and well the portions are large. Breakfasts were equally lovely. The Fox is quite rustic but very clean and the facilities are modern and the double shower was great. I’d definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Stayed for a night at this lovely country pub. The room was great, clean and fab decor. However apart from one member of staff the rest didnt give off a very welcoming approach but came across very standoffish. They didn't seem bothered and felt like everything was too much trouble, which is such a shame considering how lovely the place is. No one was around to greet you at breakfast and had to wait for someone to arrive. 1st impressions always count and because we were greeted with no friendly faces we decided not to eat there.

The Fox is a really friendly pub that makes you feel welcome. I love their coffee and often go in for a cup or two with others or on my own. The girls are really helpful and make my coffee for me just the way I like it, very hot. Two of the staff are especially helpful and are always ready with a smile, Kate and Margot.

A brilliant restaurant. We visited Chipping Norton on Friday 6th May 2022. Our food and service was exemplary. The manager, in particular, was especially charming and helpful in assisting us with a choice of whisky. We visited again tonight, Monday 9th May 2022. Again we were not disappointed. Service and food were excellent. We were served by the delightful Lauren. She is charming, professional and hugely knowledgable about menus and wine lists. A great experience and definitely on our list of restaurants to revisit.

From booking through to checking out PERFECT! Excellent location, luxurious accommodation, fabulously friendly pub, delicious food... can't wait for our next visit. Thank you to Ellie and all of the staff for giving us a really delightful couple of days.

Special board hadMinter lamb burger with Slaw, onion ring and fries for £17.Yes please I'll have two.Great presentation, well mannered staff and very welcoming from when you walk in to we left the premises.The beer was lovely and it's been kept well in the celer the pipes are also looked after.We will be back for another meal soon.

Called on the off-chance for Sunday lunch. What a great call! Friendly and very pleasant staff. At first it seemed a bit quiet which was a bit concerning as nearby places were booked but honestly, what people are missing! Two of us shared the whole chicken, BRILLIANT IDEA and one had beef. To be honest the chicken would have done us all. Everything was done to a turn, the portions were VERY GENEROUS and well seasoned. We would definitely recommend the Fox. And finally.... the place filled up as lunch progressed. This place deserves to do well.

Just got back from a 2 night stay here for my husbands birthday. Lovely place. Friendly staff . Room was small but nice and comfy. Booked a meal at the restaurant. Bit pricey but nice. Breakfast was amazing. Really central would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst attending a show at the local Theatre. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and attentive. The room was spotlessly clean with excellent facilities and was very cosy and quiet. There was a complimentary bottle of beer and a decanter of Brandy in the room which was a lovely touch. The evening meal was excellent, as was the full English breakfast the following morning. We would definitely stay here again, many thanks.
